I have never had a more difficult or worse experience with a business and it’s booking system. I checked the website and called to find out that you can’t book ahead of time, and with my party of 6 we got in on a Saturday (expecting an hour wait). We were told it’s a 4 hour wait, and no option to book for a different time. Then, the lady at the desk adjusted it to 1,4 hours, then back to 2. She seemed extremely busy and frazzled, so perhaps they are understaffed. There was truly no option for my group to hang around for that long (and spending someone’s birthday sitting around waiting seemed silly), so we pulled together 4 more folks to have the required party of 10 to make a booking, only to be told we had to call someone to make a booking online and that they couldn’t do it there. We really wasted a lot of time and energy, only to get annoyed by truly just not being able to spend our money at this location and have a good party. No info online was given about this system at all, and so having to find out all their specific rules while just trying to have a good birthday was an absolute headache. They don’t even have a texting system, and suggest you arrive to your allotted time an hour early in case your racing time moves up - which is another wasted hour of the day. I do not think that in any universe it can be that hard to implement a simple online time slot booking system. It’s nuts to me that the customer has to dance around in order to accommodate the K1 impossible booking system. We still really want to race to will try again to pull together 10 people and book online, and I’d be happy to review this 1 star after that experience. But the system is definitely flawed and difficult.
Definitely had a great time racing, a really nice track, but the wait times are crazy! Me and a group of my friends got there around 5pm and ended up not completing our two races until 11pm. We understood that private parties and groups had priority, but there were people who arrived way after us racing back to back… mind you it was six of us and groups of two people or four who came way after us were getting races like it was nothing. Some great staff though, definitely just packed right now since it is newly opened. Great thing K1 should add though is lockers for your stuff, because theres no real place to know your stuff is secure unless someone else holds for you who is not racing.
They didnt allow me to enter a Standard Race with only 4 racers and made me wait to race one hour and a half after many empty racer laps. never experienced this in my many years of visiting many k1 locations. spoke to manager "eric" and he stated that i needed to wait in order ; even though many races continued without a full nor half full track. some people even repeated races various times. i could of raced at least 3 more times while on standby . not to mention original wait time was 3 1/2 hours so i returned after 2 hoping some races may open up . after complaining i noticed new walk-ins went before me only waiting like an hour. very currupt system not good for business.
From Karah (maybe spelled Cara?) at the front desk to George Michael on the racetrack, this staff made sure we had a 12/10 experience. This track has two floors and lots of fun turns to learn and develop a strategic approach. We chose to do three races and got the ultimate experience. George Michael was an excellent coach and we will be back for more tips/training, as he offers teaching classes! We didn’t eat any food, but there are options, from snacks to dinner type options. They are waiting for their liquor license (someone please approve this!!) so not adult juice boxes yet….but hopefully soon. We tried going on the weekend but it was so popular there was a wait. We came back during the week and got onto the track super fast! Try out this location - highly recommend!!!
Apon arriving, there is free parking and fairly ample amount of it. Hardly anywhere in this densely packed area can you get free parking. Inside the lobby area are lots of racing memorabilia including a Ferrari and McLaren indy car and various racing suits from professional drivers. There are plenty of games to play while you wait to go race. There is a lounge upstairs to watch the race from and has separate rooms for parties and private events. The track and karts are the best of all K1 speeds I have been to. The track grip has what appears to be a roofing coating over the track that has a bit of nap to keep the texture up to give the karts more grip. Construction of the track seams well thought out and the ramps don't move at all when racers are climbing or making their decent. The karts are the new super legeros, which are the best K1 offers for their indoor tracks. They are kept up nicely and the head mechanic must be doing a great job because the is very little notice of which kart is better then the next. My experience with the staff has been great. Each person I've delt with has been very cordial and helpful. Justin who seams to be running things always has helpful and encouraging hints around the track and what the best offers are currently going on at this location. Alissa is also very helpful and willing to spend the time answering questions instead of rushing each person along. At times there is a long wait but if you go to the best restaurant in town, of course you will have to wait. What I may suggest is; if there is more then a 2 hour wait, have an automated call, call or text you 20-30 min before your 1st race so your time isn't wasted. Overall, I love the venue and will definitely come back.
