As a student who was tutored, my favorite aspect of Kastner Hill is how intentional the tutors and staff were about building personal connections with me. While tutoring is something that no teenager is thrilled about doing, the warmth and kindness made me look forward to my sessions. On top of it all, they helped me improve my ACT score tremendously!
Prior to tutoring for the SAT with Kastner Hill Learning I felt lost on how to properly prepare for the test. Kastner Hill Learning allowed me see my strengths and weaknesses within testing and helped me improve my SAT score tremendously. My score went up hundreds of points and and I continue to see myself improving with each session. Aside from the test prep itself, KHL has a wonderful community where I feel comfortable to express myself and continue to learn!
Going into junior year of high school can be incredibly daunting with the beginning of College prep, AP courses, and of course the SAT. I was initially dreading the idea of SAT tutoring, but my experience with Kastner Hill Learning was anything but dreadful. The tutors there are so friendly and welcoming that it didn’t even feel like school, but much rather like studying with friends. I can truly say that over my time there I developed some really good friendships with the tutors and I enjoyed every session I had with them. Beyond just being great people in general, their ability to clearly teach and help me deeply understand the different question types was truly astounding. It’s because of these characteristics of Kastner Hill that I was able to bring my SAT score up 250 points after my time with them, breaking 1500. I could never have achieved this without them, and I can honestly recommend tutoring with Kastner Hill Learning to anyone entering Junior year. It was both an enjoyable and greatly beneficial experience for me, and I confidently believe that it will be for you to.
I cannot recommend Kastner Hill Learning enough for SAT preparation. My son worked with them to improve his SAT score, and the results were exceptional - a 200 point increase from his previous test! What impressed me most was their approach. They didn't make unrealistic promises or guarantees, but instead focused on identifying his specific weaknesses and developing targeted strategies. Kastner Hill Learning - A community of people whose primary goal is to uplift, encourage, help you succeed, and know your worth. I have never been surrounded by a group of people who are so impossibly kind and genuinely love what they do. Every time I come into Kastner Hill Learning I am met with only big smiles that take any load of stress from my day away. These people are your biggest cheerleaders, beyond just tutoring. But not only are every single one of these tutors just some of the best people you will ever meet, they are insanely smart! It is clear that this place doesn’t just hire to hire, each tutor is carefully picked for their ability to not only teach well, but also for their amazing character and ability to connect personally with their students. But not only do they have amazing tutors, they have the most wonderful group of young proctors who help your child with their diagnostic tests and give very helpful reminders for appointment times. Again, another group of very hardworking people. Everyday (they have an amazing new cafe so yes, of course I am there almost everyday) I hear students talk about how much they enjoy their time with their tutor and how well they are improving in their academics. These tutors work very hard to make sure that your child succeeds in whatever area. For me, they have helped me bring my ACT score up 5 points so far!!
