Tried Kazoku for the first time this evening. Got a variety of rolls, sashimi, udon and an appetizer. I was impressed with the quality. Up to now, I would tell people that Sachiko is my favorite sushi place so far, but Kazoku might take that over. Will definitely be back. I appreciate the simple online ordering for picking up food. I wish more sushi places would follow their example.
KAZOKU was such a great experience the waitress was so kind, welcome and attentive. And the food was so delightful 😊 delicious 😋 the sushi was the most flavorful and so beautifully crafted and the crab rolls were warm and so perfectly warped and stuff with crab 🦀 😋 oh and the lemonade was so light and sweet 😋
Although I tend to favor Sachiko for sushi when I am in Tucson, I wanted to try out this place because it is very highly rated. I had eaten here before a couple of years ago, but had regrettably neglected them over the last two years. I am happy to have had such a great experience today, so now I can add them into the mix of my favorite Tucson sushi restaurants, and if you are in Tucson, you should as well. The albacore, hamachi and spicy hotatagai were all excellent, and while the akami tuna (maguro) was not quite that good, it was still tasty. The unagi was, as I requested, a little extra crispy, which made it piping hot and amazingly savory, with a buttery smooth texture. I also tried the shrimp and vegetable appetizer, which was quite good, although the surprise tempura banana did come out a bit too oily for my taste, but banana is a really tough thing to get right in tempura! I look forward to trying some additional items on their menu, and perhaps even some specialty rolls.
I drove by this place many times and finally got the chance to stop in. This place is amazing, the service was spectacular, The restaurant was beautiful, very clean and tidy. We were seated immediately and our server even opened the door for us which was a warm welcome. We put our orders in and got our food and drinks very quick. The sushi was excellent and overall this place was very good. Thank you for a wonderful experience and we will be back again soon!
3.5 Stars Kazoku Sushi was a mixed experience. The restaurant felt pretty outdated and was almost completely empty when we arrived, which made the atmosphere feel a little off. The food itself was just okay, nothing really stood out, but it wasn’t bad either. On the bright side, our server was really kind and attentive, which definitely helped improve the overall experience. Not somewhere I’d rush back to, but not the worst option if you’re nearby and craving sushi.
