I really wanted to love this gym but unfortunately it’s been absolutely miserable booking classes, which has felt like the membership has been an absolute waste. For reference, as a member, you can hold 3 class reservations at a time. You also can only book classes 72 hours in advance. I booked for today Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday classes so I wouldn’t be on a waitlist that I would never get off of (per usual). As soon as my Monday class was finished, I went to book yoga for Thursday. Mind you, I could ONLY book it after today’s class was completed because I was holding 3 reservations. Well, Thursdays class already has 14 people on the waitlist! 72 hours in advance! I cancelled my membership , which is so sad because I really wanted this to work out.
Luxury. Tech. Vibes. This is the gym El Paso's been waiting for. Kinective Fitness in El Paso is where fitness, fun, and a little bit of bougie all collide in the best way possible. This place is more than a gym -- it's a two-story-plus-rooftop experience that somehow manages to feel upscale and welcoming. Think boutique hotel vibes meet high-tech wellness playground. Let's start with the first floor: it's stunning. The aesthetic is modern, spacious, and designed with intention -- every detail feels thought out. The front desk team was so friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in (even when I had a little misunderstanding about my visit -- more on that later). There's a healthy café right by the entrance serving smoothies and food that fits every lifestyle, including vegan options. They even have a secret door that leads to a massage therapist's suite -- yes, an actual hidden door. There's also a retail section stocked with Lululemon and gym swag, so if you forget something, they've got you covered. Parents, take note -- there's also an on-site kids' daycare on the first floor, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. It's clean, bright, and makes it so much easier for members with little ones to actually enjoy their workout time without stress. The first floor also houses the HIIT training room -- dark, moody lighting, TRX straps, and those curved, motorless treadmills that make you feel like a machine. MetCon classes happen here too, and if you're serious about lifting, you'll find top-notch equipment plus unique tools for competitors or physique athletes. You'll also spot the personal training offices, a compression therapy area (available for an extra fee), and super clean locker rooms with everything -- infrared sauna, steam room, zero-gravity massage chairs, tons of vanity space, and more showers than I could count. The second floor keeps the wow factor going with tons of cardio equipment overlooking the first level and massive windows with mountain views. This is also where you'll find The Trip, and honestly, this alone makes the membership worth it. The Trip is a next-level immersive cycle class -- think virtual-reality-meets-spin-studio. You ride through projected worlds on enormous screens, and it's all synced to music and visuals. The bikes are smooth, and the tech setup is seriously impressive. You even check in via small digital screens before class. That said, my only real miss came during The Trip. As a first-time guest, I didn't get any help setting up my bike, and the instructor didn't acknowledge new riders. Thankfully, another member helped me out -- shoutout to friendly gym people everywhere -- but I wish someone had guided me through that first experience. It's a small thing that makes a big difference, especially in a high-end gym like this. After class, I met Jeff, the general manager, who gave me a full tour -- and he was phenomenal. Super professional, friendly, and passionate about the space. He explained how every class syncs to your Connective app, showing your heart rate and stats in real-time on giant projectors (unless you choose to opt out). It's all very tech-forward, which I love. Upstairs you'll also find Pilates Reformer classes (extra fee), yoga and barre studios, and even a meditation-only room -- dark, quiet, with twinkling ceiling lights and soft music. It's honestly a dream. Every floor has its own bathrooms (thank you!), and everything is spotless and thoughtfully designed. And then -- the rooftop. The vibe up here is unreal. There's a track for running or walking, kettlebells, monkey bars, and a full outdoor workout setup with mountain views. At night, it transforms into this elevated hangout space with misters, ambient lighting, and even a bar serving drinks. They host events up here too, and you don't have to be a member to book one. I came in on a free trial day, but you'd never know it from how I was treated -- the staff was wonderful, and I felt like a valued member. They also offer day passes, week passes, and flexible memberships.
Kinective loves to market itself as some “upscale, one-of-a-kind experience” in El Paso. Reality check: it’s just another gym in El Paso, full of El Pasoans doing whatever they want. The trainers? Lackluster at best. Correcting form is a rarity, and unless you’re one of their class regulars, don’t expect so much as a nod. The facilities? Unkempt. Dirty laundry on the furniture, members double-parking across two spaces outside, and staff nowhere to be found to address any of it. Leadership sets the tone. The so-called COO, rolling his eyes at paying members. The GM gave me a two-sentence “response” after I had to chase her down—excuses only, no accountability. For $140 a month, everything should be five stars. Kinective talks like an upscale brand but operates like a strip-mall gym.
I am so glad I joined Kinective. This place has everything I could ever want to improve my fitness levels and more I never dreamed of! The building itself is very well maintained, clean and there is so much room! It has the feel of working out in a high class resort yet the equipment and challenging classes are all business!! The classes are easy to book, exciting and the trainers are professional and so kind and supportive. There is always something going on and staff and trainers take a personal interest in how you are doing and getting to know you. The staff from sales to front desk, cafe staff to personal and group trainers and the cleaning staff are helpful attentive and friendly. A very positive place that I enjoy going regularly. My only regret is not joining sooner! Thank you Kinective!
This gym is fantastic! Carla’s yoga and Leticia’s cycling classes are the best—they keep me motivated every time. The machines are always clean and up-to-date, and the staff at the front desk is super friendly. I also love the two guest passes I get each month. After a tough workout, nothing beats relaxing in the steam room and on the massage beds. Highly recommend!
