I shopped around at 5 different law firms in Grand Rapids before deciding to go with Kraayveld. I'm extremely happy with that decision. My Attorney performed great due diligence, used billing hours very efficiently (in my novice opinion), and I got monthly check-in calls with the front office at no charge. My case was just recently resolved, and I'm happy with the outcome. My advice to individuals looking for a family law office is to shop around and pay the small initial consultation fees at several law firms (you will learn a lot, and it's worth the money). But make sure one of those consultations is with Kraayeveld. I'm confident you will have a hard time going elsewhere. After I did this, the decision became easy. I cannot say enough good things about Brooke J and the entire team at Kraayeveld Family Law. When my ex took me to court to attempt to seek legal custody of our youngest son I was beside myself over the manipulation that led to the courts getting involved again after an already volatile divorce process 5 years ago. I was advised to seek lawyer advice and was so thankful I did. From the initial intake with Abbey who was so friendly and supportive to the attorney, Brooke who offered sincere, honest advice. I walked away from the consultation feeling validated and informed and was given a game plan with tools needed to fight for my son’s best interest. The firm was very organized beginning with their website, then phone call, emails and follow up. 100% recommend this firm!

I worked with Brooke J. and her team for over a year and a half through a long and difficult legal battle, and I couldn’t have asked for a better ally in my corner. Brooke was incredibly professional, sharp, and strategic. She thought of things I never would have considered, and her attention to detail made a huge difference in the outcome. The entire firm was responsive, organized, and clearly experienced in handling high-stakes cases. I’ll be honest—this is not a bargain firm.
