So irritated right now!!! WTH??? We have been coming here for a long time. We stopped by to grab some croissants (it's been a few months since we were here). We got almond etc. These USED TO have a good amount of filling, which is why they were the best!! Fed up with greedy business's. I get home and this is what it is now. NOTHING in there hardly. I MAY AS WELL HAVE BOUGHT A PLAIN CROISSANT. WHAT A RIPOFF $4.50. I am very sad as this has always been our go to for croissants!! NEVER COMING BACK HERE!!!!

Found this charming little cafe on my way to Garden of the Gods, located in Old Colorado City. I asked the employee working what the most popular breakfast sandwich was and he suggested Tomato, egg and Swiss on a baguette. I went ahead and ordered that. The sandwich was very good. The baguette was perfectly toasted, a bit crunchy and still soft. The tomatoes were fresh and Swiss melted perfectly on top.

We came for breakfast this morning and to buy two croissants to take home. I had a ham cheese omelette and paid extra to have it with a croissant instead of a roll. My husband had a ham cheese croissant sandwich. To say we were disappointed for the $45 we paid is an understatement. The croissants were heavy, stale and obvious was not fresh from today but old. They are supposed to be flaky and airy and were none of it. The ham in the omelette was very cold , the same with my husbands ham. We hardly ate our breakfast and will not be back. I am from Europe and half French and this was not even close to a good croissant. You can see the inside of the croissant, it is not flaky at all. We just moved to Colorado from Virginia but need to keep looking for decent croissants.

La Baguette in Old Colorado City is a gem! Their croissants and baguettes are authentic and delicious, baked with true care. The French onion soup is amazing. More importantly though, Yesterday, I saw their staff show incredible kindness, patiently helping a couple of us customers with an elderly man that was in need, which touched me and other customers. This bakery’s warmth and humanity make it more than just a place for pastries and great French cuisine —it’s a community treasure. May God continue to bless the staff, the owners, and each customer. Highly recommend!

My favorite lunch-for-1 spot, with a bowl of French onion soup, a crusty baguette sandwich and a glass of wine. Their sweets are amazing! Pick any, you can't go wrong! They have quiche, omelets, ravioli, and a board full of seasonal specials. Almost every plate comes with fresh, seasonal fruit.
