The Lakeview Vet team are angels. They have taken care of my dogs for years and have always been fabulous. But this morning they went above and beyond. I found an injured cat and called them for help. The cat was clearly not doing well and I wanted to get her checked out and treated, if possible. I told them I would keep her if she could be helped. The Lakeview Vet team dropped everything to help her, with no notice whatsoever. Unfortunately, she was too bad off to be saved, so they had to euthanize her. But the cat was suffering and it was the best thing for her. I’ve always loved Lakeview Vet but today really highlighted how caring and compassionate they are. I’ll never go anywhere else.

We have trusted every pet we have had over the last 35 years to the fabulous doctors and staff of Lakeview Vet. With our family, that is a lot of pets!! From birth to passing in peace, they are caring and compassionate.

After my experience yesterday, I will never be back here. I have never been to a vet where a euthanasia felt so transactional. I called Thursday for an appointment for a potential euthanasia with Dr. Guichard who was out till Friday. I was offered an appointment with a different vet that same day, however, I opted to wait for Dr. Guichard. I was told she has appointments at 8:45 on Friday and a 9:30. I picked the 8:45. We get to the clinic around 8:20 and my partner goes to check us in while I wait in the car. As soon as he gets back to the car, I get a text from Dr. Guichard asking how my pet was doing. While I appreciate her trying to check in, it was extremely upsetting that the front desk did not communicate that her appointment was here. Once we met with Dr. Guichard we found out I was supposed to be there first thing in the morning, not 8:45. Really not sure why not front desk people told me 8;45 and still didnt mark it on her calendar. After we sorted out where the mix up was, she then looked at my pet and agreed euthanasia was the best option. They allowed me to be in the room for the first part of the process which I truly appreciate. What I didnt appreciate, was when we walked out the exam room, all conversation suddenly went mute at the front desk. They did not offer any condolences or apologize for the mix up. In fact, the only one who did offer condolences after the procedure was the vet tech who returned the body to me, not even Dr. Guichard. To be honest, Dr. Guichard is wonderful but seems like her time is stretched extremely thin, which is affecting the quality of service she is providing. While I do appreciate trying to help every single animal you can, maybe taking step back and reasessing procedures is necessary because I felt extremely rushed at each of my visits this past week. There also have been numerous times where my texts and call back requests went unanswered for days, despite being promised a response by the end of that day. I would recommend retraining your entire front desk staff on your own systems as well as customer service. I really hope no one else is subjected to all this while going through the extremely difficult time of losing a beloved pet.

Dr Claire Guichard is hands down the best Vet you will ever encounter. Her dedication is beyond anything you could hope for. She and her team have gone well above and beyond any expectations I had with their extraordinary care for my tegu. Your pets will be cared for like family here. I cannot speak highly enough of them.

I've brought my bearded dragon, rabbit, and English bulldog here and we LOVE them! I always suggest this vet to every pet owner. When I had to put down my bearded dragon due to cancer they comforted me, and shortly after that, my bulldog was diagnosed with cancer. They did a great job helping us get him in remission and ensuring us he would be okay. 2 years later our baby is still healthy as could be! I live in the westbank and they are definitely worth the drive over!
