Ah, the Las Vegas Antique Center — a most curious establishment indeed. Upon entering, one is greeted not by the warmth of service or the spirit of trade, but by a young lady of noble bearing, clearly descended from the idle aristocracy of the “Do-Nothing” line. She sat behind her counter as if upon a throne, attending more faithfully to her manicure than to the humble patrons before her. Half the wares within this so-called shop appear to exist solely for the pleasure of being not for sale. Each inquiry was met with the same refrain — “That’s not for sale” — as though one were trespassing upon some sacred relic rather than perusing a public marketplace. It is, I daresay, a museum without the courtesy of admission. In summary, should you wish to gaze upon untouchable curios while being studiously ignored by a disinterested princess, this is undoubtedly the place for you.

Fun store to walk around and look at antiques and vintage items. Several other vintage stores in the area.
