I’ve been shopping here for about eight years, and unfortunately it feels like the store has been slowly going downhill. The hot food bar has become pretty mediocre and extremely repetitive. It’s largely the same offerings over and over, year after year, with little variation or improvement. The breakfast burritos are another issue. While the ingredients themselves are good quality, the burritos are wildly inconsistent. The seasonings and add-ins seem to change frequently, so you never really know what you’re going to get when you open one. Another growing problem is the number of beggars and scammers lingering outside the entrance. Being stopped or harassed on the way in and out has become common and uncomfortable. Small things add up too. Utensils are no longer readily available; instead, you have to ask for a tiny plastic spork at the register, which just feels odd and unnecessary. Pricing is also increasingly hard to justify. Some items are dramatically more expensive than identical products at other grocery stores, without a clear reason. Overall, it’s not terrible, but it’s no longer the store it used to be. For me, it’s become more of a “meh” experience than a place I genuinely look forward to visiting. They've got fresh competition with the new Sprouts a block away...

I have been to this Lassen and frequently I visit the health aid section. My wife and I always have questions. We have a favorite Lassen employee that is so knowledgeable, kind, and the greatest of help. She takes time to hear your concerns and is more than welcome to come help us. I really appreciate Caroline Reza for her dedication and service. I am making this review for her and it's after at 5 years so this is not just a first. I recommend anyone who visits Lassen to, if you get a chance. Give Caroline a thank you. I just wanted to show appreciation for a employee who takes care of the shoppers like I know she has helped my wife and I.

I’ve been coming to this Lassen’s for years, and what happened today was one of the most embarrassing, insulting experiences I’ve ever had in any store — anywhere in the world. I shopped with my own reusable bag, paid for my items at the front, and the cashier even bagged my bag for me. Completely normal. I grabbed the shot I paid for and walked out. And then out of nowhere, I get stopped at the door like I’m some kind of thief. Everyone in that front area saw me pay. The cashier saw me pay. The bagger saw me pay. The entire situation was ridiculous, humiliating, and honestly disgusting. I was raised better than to steal anything from anyone — the fact that I even had to defend that is absurd. I called the manager, expecting at least a real apology and accountability. Instead, I got the driest “sorry” imaginable. No acknowledgment, no concern, no ownership. Just excuses: “He’s not part of our team,” “He might’ve been hired through somewhere else,” “I’ll notify someone.” Zero responsibility. Zero care. Zero professionalism. If your security staff can’t tell the difference between a paying customer and an actual problem, that’s an issue. But when your manager can’t even offer a sincere apology or take the situation seriously, that’s a much bigger problem. Lassen’s needs to re-evaluate both their management and their security at this location. This should NEVER happen to a loyal customer — or to anyone, period.

I was not looking long when Lassens employee Stephanie M. Greeted me with a Warm and Comforting “may I help you find something?” Stephanie’s calm and reassuring demeanor and approach, let me know that I was in excellent hands. I was so impressed and confident, that I quickly recited the items I was shopping for to Stephanie and Stephanie in a matter of seconds had everything I was shopping for. Stephanie has an excellent, vast and extensive knowledge of the vitamin and supplement section. Stephanie cared enough, to take the time to locate me in the store and brought a smaller size of an item I was looking for earlier, while I was shopping in the supplement section. That level of honest dedication to customer care and to customer service is rare and is wonderfully reassuring and definitely worth mentioning! Stephanie listens attentively, and is a great asset to the vitamin and supplement section to Lassens Natural Foods & Vitamins. Ask for Stephanie she is extremely helpful. While at the hot bar… yes, yes, yes…Yummy fresh selection's at the hot bar…of course I couldn’t choose just one… Eleazar kept the hot bar replenished, clean and appetizing. You simply cannot go wrong at Lassens. Lassens has you covered from vitamins and supplements, to pet needs and they also have a well stocked section of eco friendly, environmentally conscious recyclable paper goods. To give you an idea of this market, it’s small and organized with prices comparable to Erewhon or Gelsons but the quality doesn’t make up for the price in my opinion. They have a hot bar, a salad bar, and a juice bar all created with natural ingredients. Some employees can be nice and others might not. Overall nothing really special about this place except they only carry organic foods.
