To say I’m a fan is an understatement! From my very first phone call, to meeting with Christina (the owner) 1:1, to having my son meet her and then be connected with his tutor Caitlin—I would 1000% recommend this tutoring center. I’ve already shared it with all of my close friends. My son actually looks forward to each session, which says a lot! For reference, he’s in 11th grade and attends virtual school. This has been the perfect balance for him—he gets the benefit of 1:1 assistance while also learning alongside peers. Recently, my son even asked if he could continue attending Lazar once he starts York Tech. I believe that in itself is testimony to the impact this center has made. Words can’t fully express how grateful we are to have found Lazar!
Lazar has been a wonderful experience for my son. He learned how to prioritize assignments and began to take accountability for his work. Moreover, it took this frazzled mom out of the equation. I translate that into saving lots of money for my therapy!!! His grades have improved, and he is much more confident about his ability to succeed. A true Godsend for our family.
Our family highly recommends Lazar Center (Charlotte location)! Not only have our child's grades improved, more importantly, our home life is calmer and we, the parents, are no longer struggling with our child (and sometimes, the content!). The tutor holds our child accountable via access to their online portals. We receive a detailed email after each session, noting what they worked on together, among other action items. Furthermore, our child always receives individualized help. Our child has never reported that their tutor was too busy with other students. We have had several different tutors over the years, and all have been skilled in all subject matters, and bonded with our child. Finally, Lazar Center is very flexible with rescheduling due to sports, early dismissals, and illness, both last minute and with advance notice. Do your family a favor and get Lazar Center on your weekly schedule: go to the grocery store, get your nails done, or have a date night; it's a win-win for all!
My kids have been going to Lazar for about one year and absolutely love it! The tutors have been awesome and my kids actually look forward to going each day. My youngest son focuses primarily on reading comprehension, but he also works on all subjects. My oldest son has adhd and his tutor helps him with executive functioning/organization as well as all of his middle school class work. Both children have straight A’s and super confidence at school…thanks to Lazar. We have been thrilled with Lazar and recommend it to everyone.
We are so happy Lazar was recommended to us. My son was headed into high school and going from a very small niche school to a very large public school. We sent him to lazar all summer to get prepped. He’s adjusted well and quickly and doing quite nicely academically. He now goes twice a week to work on homework skills and study skills. He works with one particular tutor each visit so he’s established a nice rapport with her. The best part is they email each evening after the session to let us know exactly what was worked on. Happy to be a part of the Lazar family!
