My wife and I discovered Laderach in Switzerland a few years back and were so happy to see it make its way into the U.S. It stands out even in Switzerland. Really good chocolate, interesting & unusual flavor combinations, good variety of sweets, and nice gift sets at a variety of price points.
They have vegan chocolate, and it is delightful. The staff were so friendly and they handed us a sample of the chocolate. We used to go to See's, but since becoming vegan, See's has no options for us. Läderach is our new chocolate spot :) There's a lovely vegan chocolate bar with cashews, and it tastes delicious.
Went in yesterday on a whim and ended up leaving with 3 different flavors that I absolutely loved! My partner and I asked the 2 women at the counter for some recommendations to pair with some whine we purchased before arriving and they did not disappoint! They definitely know their stuff and know how to make it a fun experience. Definitely will be coming back here next time we are in town!
I visited this location for the first time and asked for suggestions to see what milk chocolates will be better, but the person serving me, Naomi, completely ignored my question. When I pointed to a piece of chocolate bark I wanted to order—because it wasn’t labeled—she snapped, “Don’t point,” in a rude, condescending tone. I’m not sure how else I’m supposed to indicate what I want when the products aren’t marked. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. Naomi’s attitude was unnecessarily rude, and as a supervisor, she should have set an example in customer service—not made a first-time customer feel unwelcome. I purchased my item and left, but I will not be returning. If I could give zero stars, I would. Being a supervisor, she should be better. Extremely rude.
This is some of the best chocolate that I can remember. So much so that I have never done a chocolate review before! This chocolate is on the higher price side. We got a couple barks of chocolate and 6 truffles for about $51. With that being said it is a wonderful place to get some really amazing chocolate! My absolute favorite is the dark chocolate with blackberry! I would definitely come back. 9/10 would have been 10/10 but the price point is a little high imo.
