As a woman in my 60's, I recently discovered that I had osteopenia, and therefore needed to take serious measures to keep my bones healthy and reduce my risk of developing osteoporosis. My weekly attendance at Ian's sessions plays a fundamental role in this endeavour. I started 4 months ago and have experienced noticeable improvements in my strength and flexibility, core stability and balance. Ian has designed a programme tailored for my needs (as he does with everyone) and introduces appropriate variations as I progress, so you never become complacent or bored. I also enjoy the fact that Pilates is a very mindful exercise and a good brain workout as well. The atmosphere in the studio is friendly and supportive with the added bonus of Ian's good humour! I look forward to attending each week and would highly recommend.

I have been going to Innes's classes for about a year now. I originally went with frozen shoulder and lower back pain. I was amazed when, during my very first session, he was able to identify areas of tension just by observing me walk in and sit down. He is very knowledgeable and always tailors the exercises to the individual. My flexibility improved within a few weeks and now I really notice it if I haven't been. The fact he has a loyal following who have been with him for many years is testament to how good the classes are!

It's only been four weeks but already I've noticed a distinct improvement in my mobility and suppleness. Simple things like getting in and out of my rather low car have become easier; stretching more when working in the garden is also a bonus and makes my main hobby even more enjoyable. Sitting for long periods at the cricket is more comfortable. Of course, there are ups and downs but at 74 Ian's Pilates sessions have definitely improved my quality of life. Thank you.

I started pilates at Leeds Pilates Centre a few month ago to improve my flexibility and help with muscle tightness due to weight lifting. The instructors are very knowledgeable and tailor exercises to your needs in a small group setting. I go to Innes’s sessions and can’t recommend him enough for anyone wanting to take up pilates. He takes time to understand your needs and explains each exercise until you get the proper form. The studio is very well equipped with multiple reformers.

I joined to improve my core strength and reduce lower back pain and the positive difference in just a few weeks is quite frankly amazing. The session is person centred and bespoke to each individual.
