Hidden gem but so worth the search! Although the spot is a bit tucked away, that’s part of the fun of discovering a high-quality coffee place in Perth. The staff are genuinely warm and friendly — the girl taking my order was welcoming and always smiling, which really lifts the whole vibe. The matcha latte here is consistently good, and the regular sugar option perfectly balances the matcha and milk aroma without overpowering either. They even offer a small cup sleeve, which was a nice surprise and made it much easier to carry a hot cup. Fair prices, solid Aussie café style, and really pleasant service — highly recommend for matcha and coffee lovers alike!

Cute small cafe in the center of Perth. Their brownie was very tasty and the coffee excellent. I would have tried the cookie but it was BIG! the guy at the counter was professional and friendly. It’s better for takeaway than sit down but I would go back again

Came with a high expectation as there are many good Google reviews. This small coffee shop was super busy as people rushing in to get their morning coffee fix. I chose to sit down to enjoy the coffee as I didn’t have much to do that morning. Ordered a flat white and Madeleine. Having high hopes that their coffee would taste good but the first sip was rather bitter and has a slight burnt taste to it. Madeleine was alright but a tad too sweet. This is a specialty coffee shop so it would be nice if they pay more attention to their coffee.

Tucked down a narrow, inconspicuous passageway of a building, Leeway is a true hidden gem. The find was worth it; it was the perfect spot for our pre-excursion morning coffee. I asked for a long black, and the barista (a wonderfully friendly Asian woman) suggested a bean with lower acidity and a chocolaty profile. I have to admit, it was the most aromatic long black I've ever tasted. Her passion was evident as she even crafted a stunning latte art onto a cup of hot chocolate. Our ham and cheese toastie was the ideal savory complement. Highly recommend for the great coffee and wonderful service!

Two words: Strawberry coffee. Enough said. I discovered this place by accident on my morning walk to volunteering and wow, I’m so glad I did. Not very knowledgeable at coffee, I stood at the counter for a moment, overwhelmed by all the different words on the coffee label (Code Black - Santuario Project.) Rob, the barista, was wonderfully kind and not only helped explain, but gave me a taste and entertained my questions. The coffee was so good I came back after my volunteering shift to not only buy another coffee, but a whole bag of beans. It’s one of the best coffee’s I’ve ever tasted. Although they regularly serve a Perth favourite, Blacklist, they also like to share coffees from other states, such as Code Black, whom we otherwise might never try. How cool is that? I’m looking forward to my next cup for sure! UPDATE: I don’t know what I’ll come back for more. The batch brews, the special espresso (Flower Dance was incredible) or the absolutely wonderful staff. They’re some of the kindest, most helpful, genuinely passionate, and interested people I’ve had the pleasure of ordering from! Thank you so much guys :)!
