We started off with the beef tartare and french onion soup. The french onion soup was way too salty (like drinking straight soy sauce) so we got it replaced but it ended up being very oily. The beef tartare was okay but not fresh. We ordered our steak frites medium rare but it came awfully tough and with a lot of tendons. The service was not the best (we had to get up to get the attention of the staff). Truly isn't worth the money; won't be coming back.
2 stars for the creme brulee. Following on from Tina's review, I was also very disappointed by the entire experience. No aircon, no music, no atmosphere. Did you know your body naturally heats up when you eat steak. I had to send mine back after I asked for it medium-rare and it came out well done... the beef tartare was nice but not what I expected and the creme brulee for dessert barely made up for everything. The waiter could've advised us as we sat down that cocktails weren't available as there was no bartender, and he mixed the wines up when I asked for the same again. Communication goes a long way in hospitality.
We had my husbands 50th birthday lunch and it was amazing!! The venue, the food and the service. I’m not a steak lover but I would def go back just for their steak it was cooked perfectly!!! The crème brulee was delish and so to were their cocktails, will def go back again
I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and very accommodating. The service was impressively fast without ever feeling rushed, and the team made sure everything we needed was taken care of with genuine attentiveness. The food was outstanding—every dish that came to our table was full of flavor and prepared with great care. The highlight for me was the steak: perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy, truly one of the best I’ve had. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in their craft because everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. The atmosphere also added to the whole experience. It felt both lively and comfortable, making it the perfect place to celebrate such a special occasion. It wasn’t just a meal, it was a memorable dining experience that made my birthday feel extra special. I left with a full stomach, a happy heart, and the certainty that I’ll be coming back again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent food, fast and attentive service, and a place that makes you feel celebrated
Les Bubbles has been around for a while now, but I only just managed to make it in recently and visited on a Wednesday night and was pleasantly surprised by how busy it was. The food was decent for what it is. I had the French onion soup to start, which was genuinely quite tasty, rich and full of flavour. However, the timing of the meal was a bit off. My main was brought out before I’d even finished the soup. Not sure if it was a communication issue between the floor and the kitchen, or just the chef pushing dishes out a bit too quickly. I did notice a similar thing happening with a few other tables, so it wasn’t a one-off. The steak itself was quite good, cooked well and full of flavour. That said, I thought the $4 extra for the mushroom sauce was a bit steep, especially considering it didn’t have any real mushroom pieces and only the faintest hint of truffle oil. Felt a bit more like a basic sauce than a premium add-on. Service was fine, nothing particularly bad, but nothing standout either. All up, I’d probably come back again, mainly for the steak. It's a solid spot for a midweek meal if you're after something casual but satisfying, just don’t expect a flawless experience.
