Today was my last class of the summer camp, and I'm really happy with the results! The teachers and the staff are great and sweet. Definitely, I'll be back in September.
That’s a wonderful institution that take care of each student with so much love. If you are an immigrant as well, I totally recommend this place to learn English and make new friends.
As a retired professor with a 30 year career in academia, I've no need of the services of an English language school, but as a resident of an area that includes many immigrants who aren't anglophones, I acknowledge that it is beneficial to have such a place in our community. I only went there today because they were administering COVID vaccines with no appointment necessary. That's the only thing that they're doing today. Otherwise, Literacy Achieves is closed for today.
I didn't like the fact that the staff didn't warn parents that there were children with head lice in their classes. Didn't notify parents that they will be doing head lice check. Very angry about that!
Great place to volunteer and teach English. No past teaching experience required. Only issue is 2 teachers teach per class and I was paired with a bossy and controlling volunteer. This can cause confusion for students when they see two teacher volunteers disagreeing.
