This place is a secret gem! Our volleyball team chose Little Mexico to celebrate our tournament games in Richmond and celebrate a team member's 18th birthday - we couldn't have had a better time!! The food was truly delicious and the service was exceptional - John, Catalina (at the bar) and Ricardo rocked our tables (& our party of 25! Thank you for a fun night and celebration!

Our event at Little Mexico was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, the team welcomed us with incredible energy and genuine hospitality that made everything flow perfectly. The atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and filled with that special magic that happens when every detail aligns just right. And the food… wow. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Little Mexico truly knows how to elevate a culinary experience and turn it into an unforgettable moment. A huge thank you to the entire staff for their support, attention to detail, and for helping make our event a complete success. Seeing everyone enjoy, connect, and get creative in such an amazing space is something I’ll remember for a long time. ✨ I would definitely come back a thousand times. Little Mexico completely won my heart. ✨

I wasn’t gonna write a review because I really really do love Little Mexico. I’ve celebrated many birthdays here and it’s one of the first places that I recommend people to come when they go to downtown Richmond, but the way that this situation was handled rubbed me the wrong way. I placed a pickup for quesabirria tacos with rice and beans on the side. I got home and opened my rice and beans (luckily I mix them in together before I take a bite) and was shocked when I found two full sets of STAPLES. I don’t even have a stapler at home so there was no way I could fabricate this, but there was a sense of disbelief when I told them over the phone (this was also my second call about this order because they forgot the queso dip). I think it’s very odd, especially having worked in many restaurants, that there would even be staples near prepped food. I was told that they would remake the meal and that it would be ready when I got there. When I get there, they then proceed to tell me that there’s only the option to do a replacement or a refund which was not what I was told. Keep in mind the food they remade for my order was sitting on the counter, so at that point they were willing to just waste it instead of rectifying. I had them explain it to us for a little bit because it didn’t make sense that a refund AND replacement of the MISSING and CONTAMINATED food wouldn’t be the bare minimum, especially when there was something that could’ve caused me bodily harm. After a bit of back-and-forth, they finally agreed to at least give me the remade rice and beans and queso, and then ultimately agreed to give a refund. if someone is physically showing you that there are foreign objects in their food. doesn’t it make sense that you would show more care about the situation and attempt to rectify it by any means possible? I hate that I was met with the excuse that “their hands were tied so they can only do one or the other”. I am hoping by sharing this that if it happens again to someone else, they are more proactive and less stagnant about their conflict resolution.
