I mostly joined this gym bc i wanted to try out the different workout classes and I have to highlight Faith’s yoga classes! Her Sunday morning classes are the best especially bc the emphasis on form. I’ve tried the other yoga classes and they do NOT compare and other ppl in the class I’ve spoken to also agree. I’ll renew my membership just so I can attend her classes

I really wanted to like this gym, especially given its prime location in the Castro and the fact that it’s locally owned — but unfortunately, it just hasn’t lived up to expectations. The biggest issue is the cleanliness and maintenance. Equipment is often out of order for weeks at a time, and the overall facility doesn’t feel well-kept. The bathrooms and locker rooms could use much more regular cleaning, especially during busy hours. It just doesn’t feel like a space where cleanliness is a priority.
Live fit Castro was fantastic gym for me. Staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. Facilities clean and well maintained. The gym is stacked with all machines and weights equipment I’ve ever needed. They have workout classes too.
For a short time, I lived in SF and tried out four or five gyms looking for the right fit. Live Fit Gym (and its staff) was an incredible find. The gym was small but very well appointed—with new, comprehensive equipment plus large and small studio spaces for classes and private stretching—and very clean. The energy was the right mix of relaxed and focused, with all types of serious fitness folks. I always felt calm when arriving and motivated while working out. In addition, the staff was very attentive, helpful, and always remembered me when I came in. For those looking for additional services, they also offer acupuncture and massage therapy. I would 100% recommend this gym to anyone serious about their physical health and wellness and looking for a chill environment to work out and connect. One of my best gym experiences to date!
