I always leave feeling more confident, empowered and inspired to express my innate creativity - and for me that is a tremendous gift. Pros: + Services begin and end on time + The staff is remarkably kind & attentive + Rev. Jennifer's weekly messages are concise, thoughtful and expertly delivered. + Recordings are available online via their YT channel Cons: + none at all I count myself as exceptionally fortunate to have originally happened upon CSL in Irvine when visiting a dear friend, and then again in Redondo Beach when I lived there and once again now that I live in Lakewood.

WHAT LIVING BEYOND LIMITS MEANS TO ME It’s the PEOPLE It’s the MESSAGE. It’s the LOVE. Or perhaps it’s all that, plus the FREEDOM to discover and express my own individuality as a spiritual being, in a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere. I was a seeker for many years. I probably tried on more church styles than I had clothes. When I finally found Living Beyond Limits, I had given up seeking and rejoined a branch of the (Christian) denomination that I was raised in, reasoning that, if my starshaped peg didn’t quite fit that particular round hole, I could knock off a few edges, or maybe shrink myself down, somehow wedge myself in. That’s how l much I wanted to find “God,” “Truth,” spiritual meaning in my life. But no matter how I tried, I couldn’t seem to fit. I was surprised by what I considered narrowminded judgments on the part of the community and yearned for a larger view of God. I Googled and found Living Beyond Limits church. Six months later I skipped my own church’s service to visit it. The moment I walked in, I felt the love. I sat near the front, but Reverend Jennifer’s talk so moved me I started crying happy tears – and fled to the very back row, so no one would notice. (They did anyway.) Afterward, I was welcomed like a family member. Several people told me that they’d cried, too, the first time they came to Living Beyond Limits. Yes, there’s good music, community, food, good times. Beyond that, there’s the joy of a spiritual journey, with like-minded, open-hearted friends. We respect each individual as a unique creation of the Divine, and honor diverse paths to enlightenment. Five years later, I’m still there, learning and growing, enjoying my freedom to belong as myself; and welcoming visitors with love and respect for who they are.
