Il Pastaiolo offers very good Italian food in a great South Beach location, though the prices are on the high side. The best dishes by far were the lobster ravioli and the salmon ravioli. Both were flavorful, well-made, and clearly the highlights of the meal. If you come here, the ravioli is a must. The gnocchi cacio e pepe was creamy and comforting, and the shrimp Alfredo was rich with tender shrimp, but both felt a bit expensive for what you get. The margherita pizza was simple and tasty, with fresh ingredients and a nice crust. Overall, the food tasted great but the high prices keep it from being a perfect score. A good spot for Italian food if you don’t mind paying extra.
Patio Restaurant with an Italian experience. With all the amazing reviews we had to try this place. We were seated on time with our reservations. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This place seems like its a family run operation. Tried the Caesar salad. The ingredients were fresh and not overdressed. Overall taste was good but didn't over impress. My kids ordered some pasta dishes which they both said were excellent and they both looked amazing. The portions were generous and well presented. We also tried the pizza which was okay as the crust was very basic and no one was overly impressed. I also noticed they only have two pizzas on the menu and my personal recommendation would be to take it out. I also tried the octopus which was very good. Also not incredible as it lacked some of the char. It was also slightly small compared to some of the photos I saw online for $30. I felt it was slightly underwhelming. The desserts were amazing as the table side tiramisu was an excellent presentation, the Nutella cake was really good. A little dry but overall very good. The cheesecake was also excellent, very light and definitely something I would recommend. My recommendation is to stick with the pastas as that seems to be their strong point. All of their options seem to be there to fill a menu. For $250 with no alcohol it seems high but apparently this is South Beach pricing for family friendly restaurants. A solid choice for pasta lovers.
Came across this Italian restaurant during a work trip, and wow I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and excellent service! My server Leandro was very attentive and made my dining experience wonderful. I sat outside on the patio and the atmosphere is great especially during a Miami night. The food was superb, where I had the Burrata e Pomodorini (very fresh and tasty!) and the super generous and delicious Pizza Prosciutto & Arugula! Excellent food in Miami Beach - would gladly come back!
Service was a standout. Martina looked after us the whole night and she was fantastic. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Everything came out quickly and exactly as ordered, and she made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. Great spot overall, and well worth a visit if you’re after proper Italian with excellent service.
This was one of the best if not the best Italian restaurants I have been to. My family and I enjoyed every bite. The seafood linguine was done to perfection. The table side made tiramisu was out of this world. Leandro and the staff made my son’s birthday special with a delicious pistachio cannoli cake. Will definitely be back!
