We went here for a date night and were throughly impressed. We enjoyed the atmosphere which was calm and quiet. Our waiter, William, did an excellent job being professional and was able to recommend a wine selection which perfectly complemented our food. The dessert, an Oreo pie, was a pillowy cloud of chocolate goodness. The pasta was well cooked and seasoned. The star of the show was the red sauce. Would 100% recommend for any date night or special occasion.
It was great! I was there celebrating my birthday and spoke with the guy at the front and ended up finding out his birthday was coming up (the 17th I think) and we had a lovely conversation as we were getting seated. As it was connected to the Drury hotel, the dress code was funny: some people in semi formal and some in PJs Server recommended some lobster bites over a congac cream sauce which was amazing! Some of the most tender lobster I've eaten in a while. The seafood rigatoni was delicious, scallops being my favorite part of the dish. My fiance had the tortellini that was also tasty. I liked that the bread basket had many types of bread in it (focaccia, bread, garlic knots, etc.) Pleasant experience and would definitely go back
I wanted to thank you for an exceptional evening for our group of 15! Mario, our waiter, was incredible. His knowledge of the menu, his service and professionalism and his ability to commit to MEMORY - 15 drink orders, then apps and then salads and entrees without a hiccup - no one does that anymore and certainly if they do, few with success. When the food came out he enlisted the entire staff to make sure it was properly served and "no auctioning". They too, were professional and engaging and So welcoming and friendly. The table was bussed constantly and even the crumbs removed. The drinks and waters were monitored, kept full and perfectly prepared. The caesar salads were crisp and perfectly dressed. I was amazed at the calamari - I live in Florida. Crisp and HUGE and a delicious remoulade. The entrees were beautifully presented and delicious. Other than the inability to finish the filets due to no room left in stomachs, I think we all cleaned our plates My veal saltimbocca was incredible. One of my friends got the pork chop and said it was the best he had ever had, and he gets around the food scene. I thank Mario, the staff and all of you for providing such a great evening that then included a meal! Our group had suffered a loss of a dear friend, age 34, from a 15-year battle royale with brain cancer. The funeral had been Saturday. We were looking forward to, but hesitant to celebrate. Lombardo's was the perfect relaxing and meaningful gathering of friends to start our holiday season. Thank you!
Cozy place, the fried ravioli is a must, we order a Chicken Luciano and a Gorgonzola Bistecca, they are ok. Canolli is great and tiramisu ok. Service are fine, I liked it in overall. Prices are high, $190 for 2 With half bottle of wine
I heard about this place and decided to give it a try. It is authentic Italian with loads of flavor and family history. It tastes like someone’s nonna was in the kitchen making your dish with love and a secret family recipe. The restaurant itself was romantic, dimly lit, classy marble, and linen covered tables with candles. I ordered fried ravioli (the said it was the best in the area, they were right), filet mignon, and rigatoni. The fried ravioli was fried to perfection and was stuffed with herbs and sausage, it was juicy and the marinara it came with tasted like heaven. The filet mignon was reasonably priced and had a light char on the outside but was tender and moist in the middle. The rigatoni was my favorite, it came with an orange colored sauce with sausage. It was a huge portion I took the rest home, they boxed it up for me which was nice. The food was excellent, I already want to go back. You can tell everything was made with quality ingredients, always rich with flavor, and authentic taste. You’ll definitely need to have a reservation to get a table for Saturday night because it was pretty busy. Our waiter was slammed running everywhere, I wish our drinks got filled more often but I know he had a lot going on. We ate there then it wasn’t too far to just walk to watch a soccer game. Lots of people come in on game days to eat here before the game. I’m counting down the days to go back, best Italian food I’ve ever ever ever had.
