JC and the entire team do a fantastic job. Incredible prices, great selection and super friendly. I have visited two other stores and they are not even close on customer service and pricing. I enjoy their passion for fish and their engagement with patrons.

Staff understands fish keeping. The store is more focused on freshwater and has a very small selection of saltwater fish but a larger selection of coral. They do keep tank supplies and fish supplements on hand.

Great information on getting my tank cleaned and the right way. Tank is crystal clear from a murky green to clear. I unfortunately dont have it green, but it was bad. Did water chamges daily, and the green would come back after 3 days. No algea on glass, just a really bad algea bloom. Was given Microbacter and chemipure green. Used it for 2 weeks, like instructed and bam crystal clear water. Update: June 8 2025 Did my first gravel clean, removed about 3.5 gallons, and added the same. Still crystal clear. I added the light back to 8 on. Plants are growing again, and fish are happy. Still adding microbacter every gravel clean. Hoping it stays this way. I will co tinue to update

By far the best experience I’ve had. The team at lone star was very knowledgeable and patient with a new goer of this hobby like myself. Everyone was kind and provided great customer service. I couldn’t be happier with how my aquarium is turning out due to their advice. This place is my new home store, highly recommended.
