This was my first time at the club, and I was genuinely impressed from start to finish. The hotel itself is exceptional—elegant, comfortable, and one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. The athletic facilities are top-notch, offering everything you could need for a great workout. Room rates were surprisingly affordable for the quality and service provided. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and professional, making the stay even more enjoyable. Between the facilities, the rooms, and the welcoming atmosphere, this place exceeded all my expectations and is easy to highly recommend.
A Mind-Blowing Experience, and a Fitness Enthusiast's Dream! As someone who has traveled to 68 countries on six continents, I thought I had seen everything, until I stayed at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. It's not a hotel, it's an experience! First and foremost, staying at the hotel gives you free access to world class fitness facilities. There are two complete gyms with free weights on two different floors, a huge swimming pool, full court basketball, racquetball, squash, etc. There are all kinds of classes on yoga, sculpting, abs and the like, 7 days a week...there's even an Aqua Zumba class in the pool! A lot of hotels will charge you extra for use of their gyms, but what is totally mind blowing is that at the Athletic Club, all of this is included for free in your hotel stay. It's almost too good to be true! There's a surprise around every corner in this hotel. There are two beautiful pool tables, an ornate lounge that looks like something out of an old movie and plenty of places to stretch out and work. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful, and Melissa in particular was so accommodating and informative, and she's the one who tipped me off to the Blue Room, a hidden speakeasy that you can only get to by finding a secret door. Melissa made me feel so comfortable that a great experience was made even more wonderful, thanks to her help. The club is located in a super walkable area, so there's no need to have a car. There are great restaurants nearby, as well as a Whole Foods and a CVS one block away. One can take the Metro subway a few stops to Union Station, and from there one can get to Los Angeles Airport on the Flyway bus. There are also trains from Union Station to San Diego, Palm Springs, etc. so it's a super convenient location. One thing is for certain: whenever I'm staying in LA, I'll always stay at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. I can't wait to return.
I recently stayed in LA for a work trip and was genuinely impressed by the attentive service, thoughtful amenities, and elegant décor throughout the property. Parts of the hotel do appear to be in the midst of renovation, which may explain why some rooms and a few elevators feel more updated than others. My room was tucked into a quiet corner, though colleagues mentioned that street noise affected their sleep in other sections of the building. I had several meals on-site—including one during a comedy night with a $10 cover—and each experience was consistently well executed and enjoyable.
I checked in to my favorite hotel today! Checking in was smooth and easy per usual! I came to have dinner at the Invention lounge and the food was spectacular! They had live jazz music and it was really good! I was impressed by how many people were there on a Sunday I had never seen it this packed on a Sunday! I want to highlight my waitress “Georgy” She was amazing not just to me but to everyone she interacted with! I also noticed she was helping serve like 50-60 people maybe more…… I think hard work is commonly becoming more and more rare so when I see it I love to shine light on it! This is still my favorite place!!!
This was my first time in LA and this hotel was phenomenal!!! During my check in I initially had some issues but they were handled quickly by Melissa!!! She also provided me with great information about downtown LA and what was available for my fiancé and I do as well!!! She was extremely informative!!! Jesse was also great as well especially providing with accommodations for the rain that suddenly appeared during our trip!!! I definitely didn’t prepare appropriately for the rain but he provided with an umbrella for my day so indefinitely appreciated that as well!!! Maria gave me a great tour the gyms available on site!!! When I tell you this gym is a gym head paradise it is!!!! I love to workout and I was able to still keep up with my gym routine with the multiple equipment and areas throughout the hotel!!! From the full size gyms on two floors to the inside track and full Len swimming pool I was in heaven!!! If you’re visiting LA I was recommend this hotel for all the various activities that are available to you as a guest!!! I will same the property is not as fancy hotel room wise however it does make up for its immense amenities and pricing!!!! I would definitely stay again!!!
