Our favourite local nursery closed and sold out to a data center. The other option had limited stock. So I decided to take a risk because mail order off a Facebook ad is normally a default “no” from me. But I have to say - they were big, beautiful, and arrived fast. I’m really impressed.

I ordered a tree over a week ago and have had no response from this company.

I purchased an autumn starlight Encore azalea last spring from Lots of Plants to match 3 autumn starlights of which one of the original 4 died. The new one arrived in perfect shape and was immediately planted. However, the leaf size and growth habits of this new one are considerably different from the original three. I emailed Lots of Plants a week ago about this with pictures of the original 3, the new one, and the official Encore azalea identification tag from the original 3 showing that they are autumn starlights. I haven't heard back after 7 days. I'm hoping they might see this and let me know what might have happened with the azalea I was sent last spring. It could be that during this slow time of year they are away from the office and haven't changed their voicemail or out-of-office reply email message. Nobody answers at the phone number listed on the website and on Google Maps. Second Update: I was able to talk with the owner of LOP and he confirmed the plant they sent was the wrong one. He quickly sent the correct Autumn Starlite azalea. It's been planted and doing well. I'm impressed with the level of service after the minor mistake. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend LOP for any plants you cant find locally. Update: I just found out from another online plant distributor that the autumn starlight might not be cultivated anymore. "Unfortunately, I have not seen the Autumn Starlite in the rotation for a number of years. I am being told by the original grower that they started to stray too far from the original variety and were as such pulled from the market. The replacement for the time being is the Autumn Twist which are similar but there is a lot more pink present in their blooms." So maybe I was sent an autumn starlight, but they are truly very different from the ones of 5+ years ago.

I had to change the shipping address from 133 Kingfisher Ct., New London, NC 28127 to Rt. 8 5312 Sendero Dr. Raleigh, NC 27612. In immediately calling Lots of Plants, I was able to correct this error. Many thanks for your patience! Judith B. Gilbreath

Same company/owner as Tons of Stone. BUYER BEWARE! Horrible experience from start to finish. I called before ordering stone to confirm alley residential delivery would be fine- was assured it was. After multiple missed “expected delivery” dates, endless unreturned calls, and taking time off work, owner Joseph Plitt said I could get a refund minus shipping charges- even though shipping was “free.” After another week of no delivery and no contact, I warned I’d file a chargeback; only then did anyone respond. The stones finally arrived late, much smaller than described, but glad to be over it I accepted delivery and closed the credit card dispute. Days later, the owner Joseph Plitt emailed threatening legal action and a lien on my home, then called me a liar even after I showed proof. Absolutely unprofessional and unethical. Avoid these businesses at all costs.

Would give a 0 star if it was an option. Ordered 2 mountain laurels for almost $100 each a couple years ago and they wont replace them unless they arrive completely dead. So tried reordering this year and got the 90 day warranty for both plants. 1 did a little better this year and may survive winter but the other started dying within 1 week of planting. Contacted customer support and just gave me the runaround saying it wasnt dead (despite 90% of the leaves being yellow or brown and the branches dried and brittle) and said I needed to replant with soil conditioner and place some mulch around it which I tried despite the fact it was already dead. Sent more pictures a month or so later near the end of the 90 day period to show that it died and they still wouldn't replace it and were saying "they're slow growing" and all this crap just trying to stall so they won't have to replace them. **DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE AND EXPECT IT TO LIVE AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE WARRANTY-JUST FLUSH $30 DOWN THE TOILET...IT'S A BETTER USE OF YOUR MONEY THAN THEIR WORTHLESS WARRANTY!**
