I stopped by not too long after they opened up on Wednesday. The staff was friendly and kind in offering to help me pick out some presents for my mother's birthday. I felt comfortable browsing around as well and picked out stuff that my mom liked when gifted the selections I made. I'd definitely consider stopping by again in the future.
I love that everything they carry is from small local brands and artists. It’s the perfect place to get an ethical Pittsburgh-themed gift for someone visiting town. So happy to see they have Lovett Sundries goods, I can’t get enough of their locally crafted, plastic-free hand lotions!
Cassie and Ariel were so awesome! We came into the store on our way out of town and they were so hospitable and kind. They both gave us great recommendations of neighborhoods to hit up on our next trip to Pittsburgh :) We were IMMENSELY excited to hear that the store was woman-owned and featured over 130 local vendors being sold in the store (we love shopping local/small)! I actually did not want to leave the store; the energy was great!
I came here as a tourist looking for local souvenirs after our hotel concierge recommended this place. Usually I find that souvenir shops are disappointing and filled with generic, mass-produced items, but this place was a pleasant surprise! Tons of locally made goods from Pittsburgh, from food to knick knacks to beauty products. This is definitely a must-visit place and I hope it never changes!
Violently Pittsburgh. If you’re looking for a tasteful present for a local or out of towner this is the place to pick up a unique piece. I was tickled pink over the tea towels and pot holders. They’re perogie themed and the other ones have the different bridges of Pittsburgh. A lot of the other items for sale are all locally produced. From honey and hot sauces to herbal teas. There’s also a small selection of Pittsburgh themed children’s books. So many artworks that are tasteful and downright neat, most of which I would hang on my walls. All in all I really thought this was a cute store.
