Great experience, Christian is incredible! I loved how he connected with me immediately and helped me in ways that didn't feel like he recycles the same tips for every class or student. It became very apparent the amount of time and effort he puts in to personalizing the lessons so that you can get the maximum value for whatever your level is. He was an incredibly effective teacher, with his strategies and tips helping fill the gaps in my knowledge and making it clearer and easier to "beat the SAT" (his words). I reached my target range of score thanks to Christian, couldn't have done it without him!
The group class and materials from Love the SAT really helped my daughter and put her on a great path for college. All of the practice tests especially helped her get a feel for the timing of the tests and gave her confidence to that she would improve. She went from a 1300+ on her first official SAT to a 1500+ on her second official testing.
Christian was my daughter’s third SAT tutor. She’s easy going and a hard worker, but for some reason she didn’t click with the first two. I knew that she was capable of significantly raising her score, but she was understandably reluctant to try out yet another tutor. When I saw Christian’s Facebook post comparing preparing for the SAT to tackling a tough song on the piano (something she could relate to as a piano player herself), I knew he was the right choice and that it was worth her trying one more time. She took four classes with Christian and felt confident going into the June SAT. When it was canceled, she was gutted. She signed up for the August SAT and asked me if she could take more classes with Christian in preparation! She went from grumbling about having to take classes with the first two tutors to requesting additional classes with Christian. She took all of his advice very seriously and worked diligently over the summer to prepare. She was thrilled with her score, which was a 160-point improvement from her previous test. Knowing that her score is above average at most of the colleges to which she’s applying and well within the average range of her reach schools is a game changer! I highly recommend Love the SAT! and Christian and will be using him again when it’s time for my son to prepare for the SAT.
My son took this 5-week course. He improved his SAT score 150 points from the first time he took the test. Love the SAT gave him some helpful pointers on working through the test in a timely fashion. He improved the reading/writing section by 80 points and the math section by 70 points so the improvement was fairly split between both sections.
The team at Love the SAT has been wonderfully responsive and the investment of time and $ was definitely worth it. Our son gained confidence as they taught him about the ACT test and how to prepare and execute. After one group course of a few lessons and three “1:1” sessions, he increased his score on his test by 5 full points! We are very happy with that outcome.
