They are NOT cheap but we get good service and quick returns. The software used makes it fairly easy to enter the necessary figures then just scan in the necessary documents and upload to the software. Because our returns involve some unusual items that require expertise we need to use a tax accountant and that expertise gets a refund most years. It's just some years the refund is barely more than the fee.

I used to do my own taxes and always seemed to owe money. My sister-in-law recommended Long Schaefer to me, and I've used them for nearly 15 years. Their accountants found deductions, like medical expenses, that I didn't even know could be used to lower my tax payments. I have gotten money back every year since. For the chronically ill, this can be a life saver. The accountants were also willing to reschedule when my doctor ordered daily medical treatments. Thanks to everyone at Long Schaefer who made tax season a joy!
