This is such a beautiful little space, not only for those after a great book or magazine, but also a gift or a card. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of partnering with Macleans Books for an event we held recently, and I can't praise them enough. Their team was represented by the incredibly helpful and organised, Lydia & Kathy. They curated Jelena's books with more than enough stock to satisfy the demands of our guests, which was no small feat! Another highlight was their genuine enthusiasm for participating in our event. They showed great support for our guest speaker by expertly handling the sales of the books, something that both the speakers and attendees appreciated. It was refreshing to find such eagerness and dedication with a local business. Their professionalism and seamless service truly made our event a smooth and enjoyable experience over the two days. The convenience and ease with which they provided their services were impressive. I wholeheartedly recommend Maclean Books for any literary needs, especially for events where reliable and enthusiastic book sales are needed. A huge 'thank you' to the team —you made a significant impact, and our guests left happier because of your contributions. Looking forward to the next partnership!

One of my favourite bookshops in Newcastle. Staffed by a friendly team who will happily help you find the perfect books, love talking about books, with a warmly inviting shop front stocked with a broad selection of new releases, favourites and classics, plus an excellent section for younger readers. If they don't have it in store, they will find it for you. They make online browsing easy as well, and I love their click and collect service. They're also incredibly responsive to online queries and they're service is exceptional. I'll keep coming back!
