I have had nothing but positive experiences at the MMF. I started taking guitar lessons at the Music Foundry in 2013. Then later I sent my kids there, one for voice and the other for piano, and my youngest son is still taking piano lessons there today. Every instructor has been excellent. Brett in the office is really friendly and always remembers my name. I have only interacted with the owner a few times 12 years ago, but he was also very helpful. We've participated in the student jams and the recitals, and they were all well organized and fun. Oh, and I took a music theory class there once too, and it was also very well done!

Two of my children have private lessons here. Once for piano and voice.... One for drums. Our drummer has some advanced needs and they go above and beyond to provide amazing experiences for him. They have a waiting list... It is worth the wait!!!

My son has taken drum lessons for just about a year now with Eddie, but will be taking a pause to better focus on school for the time being. We know first hand how well he and Eddie have worked (even wrote their own original song!) together. But it spoke volumes that when we informed our son that we'd be taking a break for a bit, he was genuinely upset- mostly because he liked learning from Eddie so much. This makes the decision to stop now more difficult, but we know that when we resume, we'll be back to Madison Music Foundry, and asking for Eddie.

Decided to learn drums this year as an adult with zero prior experience, and the Foundry set me up with Eddie Campell. Eddie was passionate, flexible, and friendly in his instruction, which eased my initial nerves. Playing just a basic beat on drums with Eddie jamming on guitar confirmed that my pursuit of playing music was achievable and could be fun. I found getting the attention of trained eyes and ears on my mechanics to be invaluable to efficiently establishing a solid foundation. Outside of lessons, the rentable drum practice space is well maintained, a reasonable price, and has good availability.
