I came here wanting a specific pen and wanted an opinion from the staff at this specialty store. I asked for the opinion and the guy said "we aren't doing pens today, too busy". Important to note, there were a ton of people in the store, but no one was buying anything and there was no one in line. Considering that I was ready to spend around $100 on a nice pen and ink, you would think they would prioritize a customer who was ready to purchase literally anything. Super disappointing, I promptly purchased my pen from a different vendor that same day for a FAIR price (Mai do has ridiculous markups, do your research...) I highly recommend the Goulet Pen Company who clearly care about their customers. I won't go back to Mai Do.

I love this place. They have so many classics: Royal Talens sketchbooks, Pilot Kakuno fountain pens, Midori notebooks, Zebra Sarasas and Mildliners in every color. It's nice to finally have these available in person rather than having to order online or deal with random brands from Michael's. The only thing I would ask is that they add brush pens!

I had a really good experience at this establishment. Yes it is a quaint little store with so many awesome things to choose from. From the journals, pens, paper, planners, cute little keychains. The worker was so nice to assist me with finding the best pen to use with the Hobonichi I bought.

Super duper helpful staff. It was a pleasure to buy a fountain pen because they were so helpful in recommending stuff and helping me out. Great collection of pens and inks. Cannot talk about much more because I ran out of budget right at the entrance of the store. Really want to go back and shop there! Amazing collection of Fountain pens from Pilot, TWSBI, Lamy, Kaweco, Platinum etc. Lots of inks!! Have a ton of stuff.

I had no idea Mai Do was part of Kinokuniya until I went here! Such a cute stationery shop with so much to see inside (and located at a really nice area). I was happy when I found lots of adorable, artsy postcards! There also was a Moomin table, which was cool. I would love to visit again one day.
