We had the best experience at our trail ride yesterday. We booked very last minute and still got in on a ride with 6 people. Everybody was very nice and took very good care of us. I highly recommend booking a ride here, because you can tell how much love everybody puts in there. We will definitely be back and recommend to all our friends and families.
Tour guides are very nice, but intermediate ride felt like a beginner ride. We trotted for a total of maybe 3 minutes? Booked intermediate so that I could eventually do the advanced since the website states this is required before taking the advanced trails. I am experienced with horses and was a trail guide myself so I wish this wasn’t the case, but still wanted to give the place a chance. Once the ride concluded, I asked one of the guides what the advanced ride would look like and she explained you’d need to call and book an observatory intermediate ride where one of the guides watches you ride to see if you’d be able to complete the advanced trails. I wish I knew this before my boyfriend booked so I wouldn’t have to do the intermediate again since it was very underwhelming.
My girlfriend and I had the most incredible experience at Marshall Creek Ranch during the sunset trail ride. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable, and the horses were clearly well-cared for and beautifully trained. Riding through the trails as the sun set over the trees was absolutely breathtaking—peaceful, romantic, and unforgettable. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt confident along the way. This was hands down one of the best experiences we’ve ever had together. If you’re looking for a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and Texas beauty, Marshall Creek Ranch is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back!
I just wanted to share what an amazing time I had during my recent trip to Texas! I came all the way from out of state and spent a few days soaking in the local vibes, but the highlight had to be my day spent horse riding. It was honestly the perfect way to experience the beauty of the area. The experience was incredible, and I couldn’t have asked for better day spent. Most of the workers I met were kind and welcoming. A huge shoutout to Natasha (I believe that's how you spell her name) for being absolutely wonderful and an amazing lead throughout the day. Her enthusiasm and kindness made the ride even more special! And let's talk the horse—Shotgun! He was fantastic, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner on the trail. Riding him was such a thrill, and he made the whole experience unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back and do it all over again!
I made the trip down from Aubrey based on the high ratings and we were not disappointed! I wanted to surprise my wife with a trail ride for her birthday. For context, it's been years since we've ridden and we consider ourselves novice riders. My wife was able to choose her own horse and the staff handled all of the preparations for the ride. It was very easy for us to get set up and riding! Additionally we were split into several groups for the ride, giving us a much more private experience. The ride itself was through well maintained state property with pretty views of Lake Grapevine. Hats off to Marshall Creek Ranch for giving us a memorable experience!
