Lovely shop just a pity that Joe Martinez does not understand the basics of bidding at auction, for example the leading or winning bid for any lot at auction once paid for then becomes the property of the winning bidder. As a former customer I am disappointed at the rude manner I was spoken to by him on the phone when trying to get a quote for a clock repair on Thursday 19th December 2024.

On our frequent visits to Edinburgh over the last 7 years we always make sure to pop into Martinez Antiques at least twice during our many stays. A shop full of interesting and very specially selected items. Wonderful clocks, chandeliers, all restored and re-wired and a fantastic array of vintage and antique jewelry. We have found many treasures there to take home to Germany and strongly recommended Martinez Antiques to all our friends. An absolute must when you got to Edinburgh. It is also a great pleasure to see Mr and Mrs Martinez again. They are a lovely couple, not only highly knowledgeable in their business, but also warm and welcoming and going out of there way to be of help and to find things for you.

J & J Martinez shop is a great place to visit with a great selection of vintage jewellery, antique clocks and period light fittings. A wide variety of items to suit all pockets and tastes. Well worth a visit especially if you are looking for a individual gift.
