We had Matthew's roofing to do maintenance on our flat roof and apply a new aluminum coating. I appreciated Bryan who came out to inspect before providing a quote unlike others who quoted me without actually viewing the roof. The crew arrived on time and completed the project within a day. They cleaned up after the project and were nice to work with.
I am pleased to share a very good experience with Matthews Roofing. We have used them for many years, starting with Dave Shaughnessy about thirty years ago. Our recent roof replacement and installation of four skylights on our flat roof is excellent. Miguel Garcia and his crew are very professional and experienced. Mr Garcia was always available for questions or input, and came often to the worksite. He kept us updated with the schedule working around rainy days. Every team member was polite and friendly and cleaned up everything perfectly upon completion. I would highly recommend Matthews Roofing to everyone.
I don't understand how this company has 5 stars. It must be for recent new customers. In my experience, their work and customer service is very bad. They put up my roof and did not install some areas correctly. I found out when I had an inspector come out due to a roof leak. They explained that I needed to call the roofing company because they did not not install the shingles right close to the chimney. I called Matthew Roofing twice over a month and half ago. They still have not called me back after telling me their manager would be giving me a call. Honestly, I don't know why I would expect them to fix a job they didn't do right in the first place. I will be finding another roofing company. I will also follow up with a 2nd review showing photos of their bad work and promoting the new roofing company that will have to fix what they did wrong. I would not suggest anyone use Matthew Roofing, even if they do offer better pricing. It will hurt you more in the end. My roof is leaking and now have internal damage because they did a half job and won't come out to fix something so simple. What a shame. I also tried to upload a photo but google is rejecting it for some reason. I will try to upload photo on yelp.
As a first time homeowner, I expected the roof replacement process to be an incredibly painful experience and a logistical nightmare. But Miguel Garcia and the Matthews Roofing team made the process incredibly easy on me. From the very first visit to scope out the project, Miguel was very professional, responsive, and helpful as he explained what needed to be done. Throughout the job, they clearly communicated the scope of the project, the timeline, and took care of everything. Pricing was consistent with the other quotes that I received but the professionalism of Miguel and his team made the Matthews Roofing team a no-brainer. Hopefully this is the last roof I'll have to put on this property for a long time, but I'll definitely be looking to Matthews Roofing for roof replacements on my future properties. My experience with Matthews Roofing - Keep looking for a reputable company. Matthews refused to compensate me for $1600 cleaning the clogged gutters, catch basin lines and the thousand of shingle marks left on my house and my neighbors. The photos show the BAG OF SHINGLES, NAILS and STAPLES left in my gutter after paying for their BEST GAF replacement roof installed. FIVE DAYS after they finished work NOONE from Matthews bothered to follow up to see if everything was OK. GAF makes quality roofs, the roofers worked in 100+ temps but the manager PHIL WALTERS dropped the ball. Mr Walters threatened to sue me for not calling him about the problems immediately, which anyone walking on the property could clearly see the damaged walls. KEEP LOOKING FOR A REPUTABLE ROOFER !!!
