My partner and I went here for her birthday, £193 for 2 deep tissue massages. We both felt that the massage was shorter than the time advertised but was difficult to say as did not have my phone on me to check. The massage itself was a joke, all that money for a deep tissue massage just to softly rub oil on you is a scam. I would not recommend going here.
I must admit I found this spa visit disappointing. Even getting the booking was difficult. I called the spa 8 or 9 times over a week and left messages with no luck. I had to call the Titanic Hotel to book in. I booked a maternity 85 min treatment, it didn’t say much about what this involved online (I did email to ask but got no response) basically it was not a massage. It was 85 mins of having oil rubbed in. There was no pressure at all. The therapist did not ask me if pressure was ok, to be honest by the end I was bored and cold. My husband had a similar experience with the hot stone massage. I hate to say this but it really felt like the therapists were not trained or qualified? We tend to do a lot of spa days and this was below standard for the amount you spend on a treatment. The treatment rooms are next to the pool so you can hear all noise from the pool. No slippers provided or a tie for the robe, it’s missing small touches that make all the difference. The spa itself is nice but my opinion is that it is not worth the money as it’s not on a level with competitors like Hope St Spa. We stayed overnight at the Titanic Hotel which was very nice & great breakfast.
Awful service - STOLE my £70 deposit for a service not delivered due to a mistake on THEIR SIDE. I originally booked in for 19th December then informed them that I could no longer attend with more than a week’s notice, asking to re-arrange to February. The staff booked in 15th December instead of 15th February, Feb being what I requested in our correspondence. Three days after the appointment they incorrectly booked in, they have informed me that they won’t be returning my deposit or allowing me to use this deposit for the date I actually asked for (or any other date). I didn’t once ask for the 15th December, but apparently because I didn’t correct an incorrect booking confirmation this is my fault and the £70 deposit is theirs to keep? Before this I was also repeating myself about timings of how I wanted to do my booking multiple times, clear they don’t read trails with customers properly and instead waste their time asking them to repeat. ‘Supervisor’ Sophie agreed she doesn’t know why they booked 15th December as there is no email or call of me asking for this, yet maintains because I didn’t show up for the booking date I never booked, that they now keep the £70 and I don’t get to re-arrange. Sophie cited delays in receiving emails due to system issues on their side like this makes any of this my fault? She said I didn’t attend my booking on 15th December which I did not book, therefore they keep my £70. This service is concerning, the staff need training around providing adequate service and treating customers fairly. Make things right that aren’t the customer’s fault. Disgusting. Do you not follow any regulations?
Gorgeous day today on the Good Morning Maya package. Spa staff welcoming and had an amazing treatment (detox back treatment including a massage) by Ashley who asked the right questions beforehand to make it a lovely, relaxing experience. Food in Stanley's afterwards was also gorgeous (salmon, tomato ragout and gnocchi). It is my second visit to the Titanic spa and both have been great (and I am a bit of a spa snob!) Highly recommend.
Maya Blue Wellness is a best kept secret here considering its hidden in the underground of the Titanic Hotel in Stanley Dock. It is a true wellness sanctuary! I enjoyed the hydrotherapy pool, steam room, sanarium & foot bath. They have a sauna but I didn’t use it. Only subtraction to this great experience is that there aren’t herbal teas or fruits. I would like to suggest that such healthy hot or cold drinks and fruits ( dried or fresh) could be incorporated with a mark up on price for use of facilities. It also has a decent gym.
