Went to get a sterling silver ring resized, and paid $100. Was told it “might end up costing a little more” after but that he’d try to keep it to the originally agreed to price. I’ve never, ever heard of a service like this that charges more after the fact but agreed figuring a little more meant 10-20 bucks. I come to pick up and he says I need to pay an additional $50. 50% of what I already originally paid! I was stunned. I pushed back a little and said the best he could do was $40. To their credit the quality of the work was great and as intended, but having the audacity to charge someone 50% of the original price tag after is appalling.
Needed a battery change for my watch and asked the owner about the price and how long it will takes. Man it’s Super quick and the price was really cheap. Definitely a 5-star experience!
I was looking for a band for a really old Casio CA-53W watch. There were two options of which were simply not pleasing to me and my preferences. The seller seemed convinced I was being too picky and became frustrated and done with the sale after I disclosed to the seller I was autistic and the difference in width of the bands would bother me. Still, watch repair must be a struggling business and customers can be frustrating in general. I bought two CR1616 batteries that I planned to order on Amazon for a few bucks just to support a small business in my local town. The interaction however, left me questioning the net value of my support.
while he did a decent job at fixing the size of my watch, be cautious. make sure you ask for the price BEFORE having any work done, got completely ripped off. he only took away a few links, took him five minutes, and charged us $20 for something that should only be $10. worst part was that another customer was waiting and pulled us aside saying he got the same job done but only for $15. would not recommend
Be aware !!! and go somewhere else if you can !!! This was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I had never met the owner before. I don't really want to talk about the over prices over all, but the only matter is his rude, terrible attitude, and unprofessional behavior were absolutely shocking. I truly regret going there. I brought in three watches: One needed a battery replacement, Two needed link removals. I also asked if one of them might need extra adjustment, and simply asked if he could do it. He didn't say anything that he could do or couldn't since it might be different. So I said that's okay then, don’t do it and just replace the battery and just do link removal for two, but he attempted the adjustment anyway without confirming and gave the watch back to me in worse condition than I gave it. It was not in the original shape and something was clearly broken. When I asked about it, he just said he couldn’t do it and that if I wanted it fixed again, he would charge me more. I was so upset but couldn’t say much since he still had my watch and I didn’t want it to get even more damaged. After that I noticed him handling my watch roughly while talking to himself with an unpleasant attitude. In the end, he charged $75 for the three watches (1 battery replacement, 2 link removals, and the adjustment). I couldn’t believe I paid for that kind of service. I will never go back. I regret ever stepping into that place and sincerely wish others to avoid having the same experience. This is the first time in my life I’ve ever written a negative review and that’s how bad this experience was. If I could, I would give zero stars for this shop and this man (owner).
