Kindly monk Friendly people A good vibe Happy at all time
In April the flowers are getting bloom. For me, it is some time like the truth of life. When there are problems in life, wait patiently, then you will go through it apparently. This temple is under the umbrella of the main temple in Thailand. The monks here are nice and you can ask any questions related to buddhist study. However, all the monks can not speak English fluently, they still have the staff that can communicate in English well.
Buddhists or Non-Buddhists are welcome to practice meditation
In my experience, they were more focused on taking pictures of white people at their retreats than on the dharma or meditation. The dharma talks were incredibly uninspiring and I would even say misleading. My instinct told me this place was not right, and I later found out that they also have a bad reputation in Thailand for being corrupt and money hungry. That was the feeling I got the 2 times I went there. If you are reading this then it's good that you are interested in meditation, and I hope you find the path. But please listen to your instincts. There are plenty of other alternative meditation groups in the area if you don't find inspiration with this one.
Very positive. The session is for beginners but not limited to only beginners. The session starts with some light warm up exercises. Very light. Almost everyone sits in a chair to meditate. You can sit on the floor in a standard pose if you prefer. Some folks bring a pillow to sit on. The meditation session is done under the direction of a monk. He will get you relaxed by telling you to relax this and that and talk you through, getting you into a meditative state. It lasts about 30-45 minutes. Afterwards there is a discussion. There are topics about peace and the benefits of incorporating meditation into your lifestyle. Participate only if you want. There is no charge. A donation box is at the door but you are not shamed into a donation. The people at the Temple are the most kind, accepting and receptive people. I find the sessions to be an asset in my life.
