Exceptional tour! We've just done the tunnel tour with Ryan and John, and it was fantastic! They are fabulous guides who are so passionate about what they do and, the added bonus, they are a pair of funny blokes! Lots of laughs, so much information, and a very well put together tour. We learned so much about the construction of the tunnel, ongoing maintenance, and a lot of the other work they do. Cannot recommend it enough! There are a LOT of steps - there is a lift available in some parts which can reduce the number of steps you have to do - but not all. And, ladies, if you wear a skirt, make sure you wear shorts underneath. I had quite a few 'Marilyn Monroe' moments walking down the main stair well.

Really interesting and well worth the £12 fee. I recommend it to everyone who has an inner geek and to folk who want to learn more about the Tunnels and the Dock it is built near. Billy & Jackie the Tour Guides are great and really added that humour to the tour too.

Brilliant morning spent on old tunnel tour today ( Saturday). The tour guides were informative and had a good sense of humor. If you can't handle all the steps they have a lift ( for young lazy people). Really glad I went lots of interesting things I've learned today. Would recommend to anyone just for entertainment of the tour guides Best £12 you can spend in Liverpool

Welcomed by our excellent tour guides John and Alison who after a briefing conducted our group of visitors on a superbly narrated tour of the ventilation shaft, its machinery, control room and deep into the tunnel complex below. Throughout the tour their well informed descriptions were accompanied by helpful safety advice. The dreadful rain outside was forgotten as they took us on the tour into the building and tunnel structure, punctuated by little known interesting facts and Liverpool "firsts" along the way. Quite strenuous at times as access up and down is primarily achieved by use of the stairwells however lifts are available for the less physically able. Great value for money, the two hour tour passed quickly. Truly the 8th Wonder of the World!

Interesting and engaging tour of the tunnel and the thirties art deco headquarters. Our guides were first class in informing, and entertaining the group. Was a good two hours and money well spent Tunnel Tour 10 Beatles Tour 3.
