I was driving through and stopped to get some climbing in. The routes were great but had an awful experience with the front desk guy. We had parked our van out of the way against the back fence and my girlfriend was working remote inside. I heard an announcement that the “van near the trash cans needs moving” I lowered the climber I had on belay and headed toward front desk in my climbing shoes. I told the guy that my girlfriend is sitting inside with the keys but I’ll change shoes and head out. He said “you are not allowed to park there and we need it moved asap.” Unfortunately he said it in a very demeaning way that really took away from a great climbing experience. After moving the van I decided not to go back in based on the bad vibes. To their credit the other person working the front desk when I arrived was awesome and really had his people skills together. Attached is a photo of the parking spot that is clearly not marked “no parking”. I hope you have a better experience and that the front desk guy finds a new job not involving human interactions.
Great staff, been members for 2.5 years been climbing for 9yrs. They really care about their members & have PHENOMENAL setters. Definitely top 10 gyms I've been to.
Awesome climbing gym! The routes are pretty diverse and the gym is clean and modern. Would have given 5 stars, but thay have some pretty stupid rules about teaching/refreshing beley. Staff claims its for safety, but its definitely so they can make more money with a paid class they offer. I experienced this my first time here a couple months ago, and then again as i was leaving today a saw a staff member reprimanding a guy teaching his partner. It really messes up your whole climbing vibe. So make sure if you are bringing a new climber or need to refresh your partner or buddies beley skills, teach them before you come here. As a 25 year climber who worked at two different climbing gyms, I don't understand how it would a safety concern to teach your partner how to beley. They still have to take the same test regardless if they learned somewhere else or took their class. Side note. The few times i have climbed here. I've observed people climbing with some pretty sketchy beley technique with beley cards. Staff should pay more attention to that then people trying to learn.
Amazing climbing gym. Extremely clean and inclusive. My brother got me hooked and I'd never go anywhere else. The routes are good on both top roping and bouldering. Have gotten some friends to sign up and they're loving it! 10/10 most definitely recommend!
We were in town for work, so my friends and I stopped by twice to climb. Both times the attendants were friendly, the gym was very clean, and we had a lot of fun. Just my opinion and not a bad thing, they set on the harder side. Their V3s are V4s or V5s (we only bouldered) that I’ve seen at other gyms. My only feedback is I think they could take safety slightly more seriously or have more attendants corralling; I almost landed on two people (10-13 year olds). I know this is an issue at every gym and we only went twice, just what we observed. Great atmosphere, good climbs, and hope I make it back sometime to use their top rope and lead climbing walls.
