First time experience and it was AmAzInG!!!! Had the chicken and steak fajitas - with {the most} delicious garlic butter and herb sauce to top that you will NOT regret ordering!! Atmosphere was a little loud, so go with someone, or someone's, you don't mind getting close to :) And, our server Shanice was absolutely wonderful - she was very attentive, had an awesome personality and catered to our every request!! Come visit!!
Had a wonderful experience having a Christmas Eve dinner with my mom. Our server, Leslie, was an angel who answered every question we had. Highly recommend happy hour drink deals. We had frozen margs before I switched it up with the hibiscus option (was perfect, not too sweet). The enchiladas were solid, especially liked the salsa verde which had a little natural sweetness (I’m thinking from the tomatillos). The highlight of our meal was the queso; I even ordered some to go for Christmas Day. The salsa was also great, nice and smoke-y (it could’ve had a little more heat but delicious regardless). On our way out my mom dropped a clip from her bag and one of the staff spent a few moments helping us look for it; again, something they didn’t have to do but really sealed in how lovely our experience was with the staff. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Dallas for drinks and more of their queso!
Went here for a group dinner. This was my first time at a Mexican Sugar location but it won’t be my last! Used Open Table to make the reservation and it was seamless. They sat us early. Mario was our server. He did an amazing job with our large group!!
I will definitely have to give this place a 10 out of 10. The atmosphere, the food, everything was a vibe. Me and my boyfriend went because we wanted a semi rooftop experience. And the weather is starting to get perfect for outdoor sitting. The queso is definitely a plus. The margarita flight is really good, if you like spicy watermelon or something similar to a bloody Mary you will get all three flavors of the margarita flight. But the hibiscus and the original margarita were the best ones to me. The waiter asked me that I want to try all three and if I didn't like one of them he would take it back. I thought he would just take it back and bring me another glass, he end up bringing me a whole other flight that I did not have to pay for. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we were there until close, we had a phenomenal time!!
First of all, Leslie and Esme were lovely, friendly, and informative servers. Second, can we talk about the atmosphere? It is in such a beautiful part of town. This is where you go to have some delicious food and unwind. And finally, one of my favorite things to do is treat myself on my one day off a week from two jobs, at a place that feels good, has friendly service, and has colorful food with bright flavors. And the happy hour, hello, from 2 to 6 PM you can get all kinds of drinks for only seven dollars. What? I had a hibiscus frozen margarita, then I tried the mango one, I got chips and queso blanco, and this beautiful, bright citrusy sea bass. I’m coming back and I’m bringing friends. Edit: OK I couldn’t resist and I stayed to get the freshly deep-fried churros with three dipping sauces. Good Lord. Edit2: And one more margarita because it’s still happy hour. Sangria swirl baby. So my bill estimate will be a little bit higher because I ordered all the extra things including a slice of chocolate cake to go for my best friend who just became an uncle yesterday. Otherwise I could’ve gotten out of here easily for around $50 including tip.
