We visited Mido Sushi and ordered the Sushi Boat 3 along with a variety of sashimi. Everything was served on a massive wooden boat—the presentation was impressive, and the fish was incredibly fresh. The owner was generous enough to give us Hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar) on the house! The servers were very friendly, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great Japanese restaurant.

We had an amazing experience at Mido Sushi in Chandler. Before going, we called to ask if we needed a reservation and the host made us feel completely welcome. He reassured us that they would take care of us and they absolutely did. The staff was fantastic, attentive, and friendly. We ordered a sushi boat for a reasonable price and it was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Mido Sushi is definitely a place we will be returning to. Great service, wonderful staff, and sushi that is simply incredible. Highly recommend!

This is such a long and overdue review for my FAVORITE sushi spot. We have been going to Mido sushi for close to 5 or 6 years now and have yet to be disappointed with anything we try. Chance is fantastic and we get top tier service anytime we walk through the door. You are greeted as you walk in and also acknowledged on your way out with a “Thank you very much” from the main sushi chef. This local, small owned business deserves all the recognition in the world for being so fantastic. The food is AMAZING. You get great sized portions for a great price. The fish is always fresh and tasty. The photo I have added is from years ago but the food still always looks the same!! I have, again, never been disappointed with any of the food from here. The flavored sakes are delicious, the flavored sojus are delicious and beers are cold! Seaweed salad is fantastic, the tuna is, the salmon is, EVERYTHING IS FANTASTIC. Over the years, we have spent birthdays, date nights and an engagement here. I don’t go to any other sushi spots since this place has time and time again shown why I love them. Thank you Mido family for all the love over the years and the fantastic food. I don’t have many photos to share since I’ve been such a long time goer but if you haven’t tried this place yet, give it a try! You will not be disappointed!!!

We have been going here for over ten years, and it is our favorite local sushi place! Especially if you like spicy rolls, there are a lot of good specialty rolls the chef creates that have some spice to them. Not all of the rolls are spicy, as there is a great variety. The staff has stayed largely the same over the last 10 years, which says a lot. The staff and owner have watched my kids grow up. The service is always the best. The quality of the food is amazing. My personal recommendations would be the Special Roll (spicy), the Chandler Roll (variation on shrimp tempura), and the Sunshine Roll (carrot adds a nice texture).

The strengths and weaknesses of this restaurant have been extensively covered in other reviews, so I'll share my personal experience. The portions are generous, but the flavor of the food is average, with some adjustments made to cater to local tastes. If you're craving truly authentic Japanese sushi, this might not be the place for you. However, if you're looking to hang out with friends, enjoy drinks, and watch a game while indulging in plentiful food, this is a great spot offering value for money. The taste and style lean more towards Korean, particularly reminiscent of places in Seoul or Yanbian. You'll notice similar styles and decorations inside. The service is attentive and friendly. The only downside to the food is that it's not particularly authentic or refined, but the portions are undeniably generous.
