Beautiful place for a wedding. Benches in hallway were broken. Could use more seating in hallway.

Every visit to to Minneapolis Event Centers have been awesome and my recent wedding at The Grand 1858 was no different. I photograph a lot of weddings with Jeff Dose Photography, and have had the pleasure of photographing here several times. It's a fabulous venue, lovely staff, and a stellar location!

We held our wedding at MEC on November 16th, 2024, and we could not recommend it enough. First, their communication was great. We would always hear back from them within 3 or so days (faster if it wasn't the weekend), and our questions were always answered. Second, the pricing was very transparent. There were no hidden fees or anything added on that we were blindsided by. What you see is what you pay for, which we really appreciated. They have in-house catering, and maybe that can be a drawback for some people but let me tell you, the food was amazing! Our guests raved about it, and their menu is so extensive you are sure to find something you like! They have a list of recommended vendors, which we went with, and the whole process was extremely smooth, we didn't have to coordinate anything, it was so easy. The whole process was super convenient and we loved that. Finally, all the staff we worked with and/or talked to, from the planners, the bartenders, servers, day of coordinator (which is included with the venue), and everyone else was really nice and pleasant to talk to. We truly had a blast, our wedding day went so smoothly which would not have been possible if it wasn't for everyone at Minneapolis Event Centers. We 100% recommend them.

The Minneapolis Event Center (MEC) hosted our first Ferrari Owners Club dinner. I have to say that I was blown away by how excellent the service was. From the knowledgeable greeters to the wait staff to Tom the bartender, everyone worked so well as a team to take such good care of all our club members. They truly made our event memorable with how they served us. Appetizers came out fresh, tasty and nonstop. Our main course was served simultaneously to all table members which was really neat!!! I highly recommend MEC for your next event! You will NOT be disappointed! These guys are top notch and know what they are doing.

I am the owner of Celisia Stanton Photography, and one of my clients held their wedding at The Riverside at Minneapolis Event Centers. Situated in St. Anthony Main along the Mississippi River, The Riverside is a great location that allowed us to capture a variety of gorgeous couples’ photos around the area. The ceremony space has a cool skylight, allowing us to capture indoor ceremony photos without struggling with awkward shadows or uneven lighting often present in churches or other indoor venues. The reception space has lots of beautiful exposed brick and moody lighting, providing the perfect backdrop for an intimate celebration with the client's closest family and friends. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a Minneapolis wedding with a unique city feel.
