We just took my family out to Monkey Rock for the first time ever. Everyone was super excited. The bowling was okay. We had three kids with us so they chose to have the bumpers and only one side worked on the lane. Our ball got stuck in the gutter and we called for a mechanic and no one ever came. The time doesn’t pause while waiting either so we just played the rest of the time out so I didn’t waste $45. We ordered the pizza and drinks and that part I have no complaints on. The pizza was great. Then we moved to the games. I wish I would have read the reviews first because most of the games took our points off our card and never worked after that even though the machines didn’t say out of order. We went to the front desk and 2 out of 3 cards showed a loss of 12 points each (which was wasn’t correct but I whatever) and they asked if we wanted a refund or the points back. We chose the points being optimistic but in the end wasn’t worth it and we kept running into broken machines. I should have got a refund. Then the tickets we did collect we went to go cash in for prizes and no one was at the counter. Another family ahead of us had to go find someone. I spent over $80 for the bare minimum and me and family won’t go back, it’s not worth the loss of funds or having to explain to my kiddos that the points on their cards got ate up by broken machines.
Monkey Rock was a BLAST!!! We had so much fun here for HOURS! And the food was delicious!! Our family had the best time bowling, rock wall climbing, and playing the arcades. So, so fun!!!!
Great place for family and friends! They have bowling, mini golf, arcade games, a small rock climbing area, and jingle gym for kids. They also have a bar which was nice. Their staff is very kind and patient. I went to Monkey Rock to take my kid for her birthday and she enjoyed it very much. They do offer reservations and probably party bundles but we just went to check it out and play the arcades. Overall we all enjoyed it, we had fun and would definitely come back again!
We bought the package of $40 (for each child) that allowed them to play the arcade games ($25 value), mini golf, mini bowling, and a playground with a small rockvclimbing area. I was very disappointed that out of the 3 bowling lanes, only 1 was working, and it was always busy: we didn't even get to try the mini bowling. I counted at least 5 arcade games broken, and there was no one attending the playground or rock climbing area. The kids got to play in the playground for a while, until I realized it was not safe for my 2 year old. The playground has a tube that goes straight down--it is supposed to be to climb, but a small child can not be in the playground alone (even with supervision as parents aren't allowed in the enclosure). The mini golf was entertaining, but again, there was no one supervising the area. We decided to leave that side of Monkey Rock completely and paid $46 for a package of 1 hour for 6 people to play in the regular bowling lanes. The kids had a blast in this area and they enjoyed the pizza! I regretted paying the $80 for the other package as the kids did not get the full experience for what we paid. I did not ask for a refund, but after leaving the place, I seriously considered it.
We had a blast . But the hostess was not as attentive as needed. I had to constantly look for her . I had to leave the room and my party to ask for food & and drinks. I had to clean up. It was a very small space felt on top of each other. There was a hair in one of our pizzas. The attractions were awesome, tho something for everything.
