I took my sick chicken here and they offered her the best care. Unfortunately, she took a turn for the worse and the doctor was honest and very sympathetic with the prognosis of my chicken. The whole team was very find and sympathetic. They treated my chicken as she was a beloved pet, and not just an egg producer.
I came in for a simple booster, and for the second time, I waited roughly 40 minutes past my appointment. Because of two reported regional EHV cases, they enforced a strict quarantine by making my horse stay tied to the trailer, despite no symptoms and despite educational materials showing EHV spreads through respiratory contact—not grazing. If the situation was serious enough to justify those restrictions, a home visit would have made more sense. The approach felt more like avoiding manure cleanup than genuine biosecurity. They require an exam for any booster, which I understand in principle, but the “exam” was a quick walk-around and a few seconds with a stethoscope. In my experience owning multiple horses, this is not typical practice and did not feel like a legitimate evaluation. My horse was being seen for dental issues and weight loss, yet the facility has no scale. Tracking weight should be standard for equine care. When I raised concerns about the charges and lack of communication, they insisted the fees were standard. Transparency was lacking, and money felt like more of a priority than customer service. I will not be returning.
Im beyond happy with this hospital. I normally go to one thats a bit closer to me but tried them out with my exotics. They were so great with them that Im now going to switch my non exotics over. Very rarely do you get a phone call from a vet asking how your pet is doing. Dr Bonner litterally saved 2 of my serama hens and was able to successfully administer anesthesia to a sensitive exotic. I have more experience than most with vets and am so impressed. Not only are they truly caring but a head above the rest in knowledge.
Our visit to Mt Spokane Veterinary Hospital was fantastic! The team was kind, professional, and clearly loved our two Aussies. They handled everything with care and patience—our dogs actually enjoyed the visit! Highly recommend this amazing staff!
This place worked with my financial situation which I really appreciated. They also got me in the same day I called and helped my lil fur buddy get to feeling better and even called a couple days later to check up on how he was doing! I recommend checking these ladies out for your veterinary needs, you won't be disappointed!
