Some of the best sushi I've had in Madison, with a strong variety of other dishes. They don't offer omikase, but they do have enough on the menu that you can build a convincing facimile for yourself. The drinks, dessert, and other dishes we ordered were all delicious and creative. To get the fifth star on food I'd like to see real wasabi offered, at least upon request. They serve green horseradish and it's just not the same. We did ask and were told it wasn't available. Putting small amounts of the real stuff under some of the nigiri would also be a great touch. To get the fifth star on service I'd love to see a shift in how they course out the meal. We were slightly overwhelmed by the sheer number of plates on our table at times. Had they simply paced the plates out, it would have upgraded the experience. Over all great job, just a couple touches to take it up a notch.

Delicious and fresh seafood! This is exceptional for the price, quality, and quantity. The crab in the rainbow roll was exceptional and the spicy tuna was....spicy! The spicy shrimp roll is my fave. Fresh, firey ginger, too! Soft and fresh Wasabi paste. The carafe of house-made hot saki hits the spot. It is very cool/chilly in the space.
