Mark rejuvenated my jewelry collection of 50+ years. All the things that accumulated that needed small repairs or a conversion from broach to pendant he took care of. Fair prices plus he’s fun to work with. Definitely recommend Mark.

I brought in an antique wedding band that was in rough shape...cracks, a break, and a missing diamond. Mark was knowledgeable, easy to work with, and clear in his explanation of what work needed to be done. He was communicative during the entire process and accurate to the price originally quoted for the work. Beyond all of that the work was exquisite...our ring looks better than ever, beautifully restored. 10/10 will recommend and definitely return if I need jewelry work done in the future.

I found Mark via Google after a very botched experience with another “local, family owned jeweler” with many 5 star reviews. I had a “custom” solitaire engagement ring made that seemed straight forward enough, but as time went on, I had it back for repairs 3 times in 12 months. By the third time, the owner incredulously said they’d remake it entirely for me if that was “what I wanted” after pointing out that my misshaped prongs were “not that different”. After many searches and consultations with a variety of jewelers, including Mark’s expertise, I learned the original crown wasn’t meant for a gemstone, wasn’t the right size for the stone, and they’d sized the band (poorly) without ever telling me or my now husband. I had already decided the poor treatment after pointing out the continuous problems was enough and I am so grateful I found Mark! I had sourced an entirely new stone that turned out to be poorly cut with a chip (something someone untrained like me missed), just adding to the overall missteps along the way. Mark suggested having it recut and his cutter did a beautiful job preserving the shape, luster, and weight as much as possible. Mark found the perfect crown and not only salvaged my poorly sized band, but created something entirely new and absolutely stunning, adding some heirloom diamonds I had from old jewelry. I ended up needing both my engagement ring and wedding band resized, and Mark’s guidance was so helpful in the process in determining what worked best, what would give greater longevity and comfortable wear. Mark has an incredible eye for detail, is so knowledgeable, and truly such a pleasure to work with. I wish my original experience had been this easy. Mark salvaged not only the entire ring, but helped erase all of the stress and disappointment. I’ve only had it “back” a matter of hours and I cannot truly put into words the immense joy and beauty that comes from the ring. I would HIGHLY recommend you check out his work and create your own incredible piece! He is in my opinion, the best goldsmith and jeweler in the Portland metro area!

Mark designed my wedding ring 15 years ago and did a stellar job. His intricate design details made it truly one of a kind and I get compliments all the time on how beautiful it is. I never take it off, so I recently had him clean, resize and freshen up a few details. Once again, I was impressed with his work and he is very easy to work with! I highly recommend Mark!
