my dog, ACE, 3 year old Doberman, met Brenda for the first time and only took a minute or 2 and he went with her. With only 1 hour of private lesson, he learned quickly. When we got home and practiced the leash training, he never pulled me while we were walking. We'll schedule another session with her.
I have a lovable Cavapoo named Gretchen who was having a hard time containing her excitement around people and impulse control out in the world. Gretchen loves affection and meeting everyone but constantly darted towards people, jumped on them, and would demand bark when not getting the attention she wanted. This made outings with crowds or visitors coming over to my house difficult but with Brenda’s guidance we are having so much success! Brenda has a clear communication style, balancing direct instruction with empathy and kindness. Dog training can be hard and emotionally taxing but Brenda’s patience and understanding is so reassuring - she truly helps both the dogs and the people through her techniques. Gretchen and I can now go on outings without the worry that she will rush people or bark constantly out in the world - and if she has a hard time or an excitable moment, I have the tools and technique to reconnect with her and pivot that behavior to something positive. Gretchen’s impulse control both outside and inside the home is completely changed for the better and she is truly able to relax and rest, something that was very challenging for her before working with Brenda. I cannot recommend Mystic Dog Training enough - thank you Brenda!
Brenda is amazing! My pointer mix rescue, Belly, went from leash-pulling and crate struggles to walking off leash at the beach in less than a month after her board-and-train. Brenda kept me updated with daily videos and in depth notes, gave me the tools I needed to continue Belly’s progress at home, and is always available to answer questions and calm my anxieties. Belly’s happier, I’m more confident, and I’m so grateful we found her!
