As of today, November 17, 2025 I see Xin (whose name is Loc) regularly and am I ever glad she now cares for my hands and feet! She is a one of a kind professional and a lovely person as well -- with the deepest knowledge of restoring nails, building them using vegan products, with a widest selection of colors and products I have seen anywhere. And as I shared in an earlier review, she is expert in using the electronic file/which together with her other products has resulted in my cuticles NOT growing back nearly as fast. This is a gift! In addition to all of this, she is the owner of her salon, she takes pride in keeping it immaculate, and in truly spending quality time with her clients. I am also attaching a photo of my manicure today. Thank you Loc for being so consistently first rate! (and by the way -- re: the lone terrible review someone left -- this is simply unimaginable...you need only read over 90+ % of her reviews...her integrity and professionalism stand out head and shoulders above most people out there.) This is my third visit (when I come into KC regularly)..and she has literally restored my nails..(which were getting damaged from overexposure to acetone).. She is amazingly expert..went for her training in Southern California..has DEEP knowledge and wonderfully skilled steady hands (!) I’ll do a before-after photo next time.. But she carries a wide range of exquisite colors…has vegan products.. She takes meticulous care of her equipment, uses some technically challenging equipment like an electric file really carefully but more effectively than dousing a hand with gel manicure in unnecessary amounts of acetone.. Beautiful pedicure and gel mani today.. I drive to see her from wherever I sm staying!

I had an amazing pedicure here! It was one of the most thorough and relaxing experiences I’ve ever had. Xin paid incredible attention to every detail — from careful shaping and cuticle work to the most soothing scrub and massage. You can tell she really takes pride in her work and care about both the look and health of your nails. My feet have never felt or looked better! Highly recommend if you want a pedicure that goes beyond the basics — truly top-notch service.

I came into Nails by Xin with a bit of a mess today - I had tried to reshape and paint my Gel-X tips myself before a work trip and completely botched them. With only one day to spare, I found Nails by Xin and was relieved they work with Gel-X (not commonly listed at salons in KC). Loc not only saved my nails but made them look better than they have in weeks. The shape is natural and flattering, the magnetic dark tones over black are stunning in the light, and she even gave me helpful tips for keeping my nails healthier between appointments. I’m looking forward to eventually transitioning back to my natural nails with her guidance. Beyond the excellent technical work, I also want to highlight how comfortable and welcomed I felt. As a gay man, you never know how you’ll be received in spaces that are often more geared toward women, but Loc was warm, professional, and affirming. That meant a lot, and I’ll definitely be back.

My daughter and had a lunch and pedi date today in the Crossroads. Because we were meeting at a local taco place nearby, we checked Google maps for a nail place within a few blocks. After reading a few reviews, we chose Nails by Xin….and, wow, were we happy we did! Xin’s cozy place was quiet, pristinely clean and a perfect place for my daughter and I to enjoy our conversation while also talking with and learning from Xin. She uses vegan ingredients from the UK to apply to nails, without the chemical odor reminiscent of many large, loud, local nail places that churn out tons of people in a day. The quaint size of her space, her professionalism, and love for her craft made all the difference in our afternoon! She is like the diamond of Kansas City, providing an upscale and unhurried experience. Check out the photos - she has a great variety of colors! Xin gained two new customers today! I just had an amazing experience at Nails by Xin! The attention to detail and quality of service were top-notch. Xin is truly a gem—she made sure every aspect of my nails was perfect, from shape to color.
