I recently went to see the Kaylene Whiskey exhibition. Loved it!! It's so good to see an Aboriginal female artist's contemporary work. The gallery is such a beautiful space, so much to see!! The concierge and security were very friendly and helpful. I came directly from the airport and was pleased to find good size lockers to store my bags. I'll be back!

I love visiting different museums and galleries whenever I have some time. I went to Canberra over the new year week and went to this place. While it wasn't bad I won't say it was the best. It has multiple small exhibitions. But nothing eye catching. The washrooms were neat and there is a cafe and book shop to enjoy and have a good time. You can visit this place while exploring the national triangle.

Gordon Darling Gallery, Canberra is absolutely outstanding. Most of the portrait exhibitions were free of charge, which is incredibly generous and refreshing. The quality of the artwork is exceptional easily the best gallery experience I’ve had in Australia so far. The portraitures were powerful, well-curated, and thoughtfully presented. You can truly take your time, enjoy the space, and connect with the art without feeling rushed or commercialised. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Canberra a must-see gallery.

I visited the National Portrait Gallery (NPG) after a stroll through parts of the National Triangle in mid-September 2025. As a first time visitor to Australia and the NPG, the works showchased in the Gallery introduced me to artists and creators from Australia's indigenous peoples and other diverse communities. There is no fee to access the Gallery. The Gallery has café and gift shop.
