via Google I have been to both the San Marcos and Kearny Mesa locations. I used to see Dr. Mike, but our schedules don’t always align. However, I have also seen his wife, as well as a few other doctors. Yesterday, I saw Dr. Thai—Amanda—and she was great!!! They are all very professional. The office is clean, and the staff is very compassionate. They were able to get me in ASAP, which I really appreciate.

Jackie Majadasvia Google We are always treated so well by Dr. Tran and his staff at New Optix Kearny Mesa. It is a large store front that is clean, modern, and kid friendly! Staff is always smiling and the whole team is so patient with our children. Dr. Tran is knowledgeable with the best chairside manner. He takes his time to get to know his patients. All of his equipment are up to date. Scheduling is easy with the online feature. Staff gives clear explanation about prices and what our insurance covers. Very happy with our experience and will continue to choose this place for our optical needs.

He was professional, kind, and really worked hard to get my prescription right, especially for my astigmatism, which I’ve been struggling with. I appreciate how flexible this office is with getting the prescription correct and letting me try a new brand of contacts. I’ve had other experiences where being under-prescribed was an issue, but they really listen here. The office is also very high tech, and the staff were wonderful especially Kieu and the kind woman technician who did my preliminary exam. Thank you all! Highly recommend!

Eric Argamasovia Google Been going here for a few years now since their location was previously on Convoy. The facility is nice, equipment is new, and staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I asked for more information on getting lasik, and while they don't do it there, they recommended me to a different place that was excellent. The staff here have always kept it real with me, from the doctors fully explaining whether or not I need to get certain exams or tests, to the other staff explaining my benefits and making sure I was getting the most out of my insurance. Definitely recommend coming here.

Jacquelinevia Google This is my 2nd time coming to New Optix. My fault, I am the worst.. don’t follow my example and get your eyes checked yearly. Lucky my eyes are in good health. My first visit was with Dr. Tran in 2020, and my recent visit was with Dr. Ta. BOTH amazing. Super Knowledgeable, and you can tell they love what they do. I’ve gone to other drs in the past, and different providers… but New Optix is just the the best experience. Everyone is super friendly, and you can just tell that we are not just a number or a name on list. I’m super introverted, and have a hard time getting out of my comfort zone. But I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. They were super detailed and knowledgeable, and ready to answer any questions or concerns. Picking out new frames is always fun , and Andrea was super patient with me, super knowledgeable, and I just trusted everyone there, I ended up walking out with 2 fun frames. Will definitely return, sooner than later, especially since my insurance (eyemed) covers yearly exams…Aaaaand they take Care Credit. That’s my rant. Thank you!
