Every Wednesday, all Louisiana residents have free admissions to visit the New Orleans Museum of Art. I really enjoyed my time here during my visit. Beautiful artworks are displayed throughout the museum. There were a variety of artworks displayed ranging from historical to modern. All of the inside was clean and kept in perfect tact. There are a variety of street parking available around the museum, and it’s also in the heart of City Park so you can go around the area before or after visiting. Overall, a pretty solid art museum in the New Orleans area.
This museum is three stories indoor and outdoor. I believe you only have to pay to go inside. You can easily spend an hour in each floor. The outdoor is great for photos.
Visited on Christmas Eve. Everyone was welcoming. Well curated very nice collection with some breadth for a museum of this size. Excellent cafe and gift shop. The Sculpture Garden is a great place to appreciate art with toddlers too.
I had a great experience at NOMA. The exhibits were amazing and well presented with a card on the side explaining what the inclosure contained. The building itself was clean and cool. Next I bought myself gifts from the gift shop, definitely overpriced on some things. Finally I got a drink from the cafe. I overall enjoyed my experience at NOMA.
So much beautiful and dramatic art to view. The museums provides info of the time period, meaningful symbolism and history behind lot of it the pieces of art. Definitely a must see when you come to New Orleans and I love how the botanical garden and the sculpture garden is close by. Staff was friendly and helpful and restrooms were clean!
