I joined the adult tap class in September 2025 with absolutely no experience in tap. After just 5 months I have to say that Jessie our instructor is incredible. With a difficult task of teaching an hour a week to adults - some with lots of experience and some with no experience in movement at all she created a high energy super fun class. Rain or shine or during a snow storm we always come to class. I am very thankful for the experience.

Been part of the NSB family for 3 years and the growth I’ve seen in the dancers has been incredible. The training, support, and encouragement are unmatched. Their recitals are always amazing and truly showcase how much the dancers have learned. Highly recommend NSB!

We had a very disappointing experience at Next Step Broadway. The staff was fully aware that my daughter has an ADHD diagnosis, and we consistently communicated and shared strategies to support her. Unfortunately, the program does not accommodate or support children with special needs. Staff reacted harshly to behaviors related to her diagnosis and made decisions about my child without communicating with us first. There was little understanding, flexibility, or inclusivity. I would not recommend this place to families looking for an inclusive and supportive environment.

My 10-year-old has been going to NSB since she was three years old. What I love about NSB is it truly focuses on each individual dancer, helping them reach their full potential and define what their own goals are. There are some dancers who are in the studio 7 days a week, some who come for one class a week, and there isn't a tier system where casual dancers are treated as less than that you sometimes see at other studios. At one point, my daughter took a year off from dance to explore other extracurricular activities, and appreciated the transparency and ability to come back to the studio when she realized that NSB was where she wanted to be. You don't always have that communication and understanding from other studios! I love that there is a competition track that offers multiple points of entry and levels of commitment. The teachers are passionate, serious working artists in their off-time, and you can see that they truly are training students for how to truly think like a dancer. The recitals are a highlight of the year, and are a fully professional production. A lot of thought and work goes into costuming and choreography, and fees and obligations are clearly spelled out at the beginning of the year, with opt-out potential for students who don't want to participate in the recital.

We've been at NSB for 5 years now and I'm impressed on how much progress my daughters have made over the years. My oldest has been with the competition team for three years now and is loving every minute of it. All the teachers they've had have been great and are always available if we have questions or concerns. It's a great dance studio and I really enjoy the adult classes they added this year. Who knew tap dance could be a great cardio workout!
